MVP Baseball 2008

Maybe I haven't searched around in the forums enough but I haven't heard much discussion for an total 08' mod. Is it in the works? Will this be the last year for it? Being that 989 only has MLB rights until 09'! Is there a thread where people are kicking around ideas on an 08' mod? Can we vote on who'll be on the cover or startup screen? Or vote on music in the jukebox? What more can we change to keep the game great beyond updating rosters/players? Just wondering, and thinking on how if at all I could possibly contribute to the 08' mod or get a sneek peak if nothing else... :)

What's that supposed to mean? "lol"

Don't be so... you.

It was supposed to mean that it would be laughable if the EAmods crew would use someone's work in their upcoming 2008 mod without explicitly asking that person for permission.

I actually assumed you wouldn't do that. Hence the "lol." If that scenario were to actually HAPPEN - then it would cause me to laugh at the sheer pathetic-ness of it all.

Well thanks for your opinion on the matter, as usual it was completely irrelevant, but be assured that if I ever do want lessons on modding etiquette from a guy with zero modding experience, you'll be first on my list.

:lmao: I can always rely on you to say something that actually DOES make me laugh out loud.

You're so childish that it's painful to read what you type sometimes. I actually FEEL SORRY for you, because of the things you've placed so much importance on in your life.

I have zero modding experience. You may be right: I've never released a single, solitary modification for MVP2005. That makes my opinion irrelevant on certain matters - according to you. The fact that this opinion is actually held by you, and voiced in such an ignorant and confrontational manner, is sad. I mean that.

You would go so far as to call someone's statements irrelevant, and berate them, because they haven't spent time releasing modifications for a video game? And one released almost four years ago, to boot?

Sir. Your priorities need reconsidering.

I hold great respect for those that still enjoy this game, and thus enjoy modding it as well.

Those like you - those that must view every aspect of it as some kind of intra-website pis*ing contest... you earn pity.

If some kind if intra-site comparison is what you seek... well... It was predictable that you'd have a fit when someone dared to question the amazing "laid back" atmosphere of EAmods - and by "laid back" I mean "double standard."

MVPmods was once mocked for considering requiring donations to access downloads. And yet - it just recently occured on EAmods.

EAmods has recently started a trend of making certain mods and modders' work "exclusive" to that site. Okay - that's everyone's right. Never been done, here, but okay...

...but wait! When someone brings up even the POSSIBILITY that you should ASK for permission to use someone's work... you implode? Spectacular, sir. Spectacular. So it's okay for you to secure things that only you can use... but how DARE someone even SUGGEST that you ASK for the right to use something of someone else's?

Pitiful.
