CF Fred Lewis, held aloft by C Yadier Molina and 1B Mason Klippel (computer generated). In back: RF Wily Mo Pena. In front, left to right: LF Nick Swisher (#35), SS Jered Sanders (#57, computer generated), and 3B Scott Moore.

Well... Ace's screen-cap-prediction is well on its way to coming true in 2007. Let's go Giants, in 2008! ...or 2015. lol.

Who the *(&* is Fred Lewis?

Someone that the world would know more of if Bruce Bochy wasn't so dead set on playing **** veterans like Dave Roberts all the damned time.

FREE LEWIS IN '08!

Thank you Raptor - if only for a minute, you made it easier to be a Giants fan. But that Scott Moore fellow, he looks a bit eccentric...or gay?

Scott Moore got caught in an unfortunate pose, going for the congratulatory butt-slap. It's true. :) :lmao:

SF - I was WAITING for you to see this. I figured you'd get a kick out of it...

The lineup I used to win the World Series with your Giants:

1. CF Lewis (From SF AAA)

2. SS Sanders*

3. 1B Klippel*

4. LF Swisher (From OAK)

5. RF Pena (From BOS)

6. 3B Moore (From CHI AAA)

7. 2B Gonzalez*

8. C Molina (From STL)

* = Computer Generated Player.

Ahh, the congratulatory butt-slap, one of the staples of the game, yet extremely ackward to get caught during its execution!

was zito still around?

He had just left, via free agency, that year, I think. Or maybe the year before.

My rotation was:

Tim Lincecum (SF)

Matt Cain (SF)

Jordan Buck (computer generated)

Oliver Perez (NYM)

Travis Blackley (SF AA - LINK).

My closer was Jonathan Papelbon (BOS).

You are using the GIANTS as opposed to the Cards?

????

I always pick a "bad" team to do my dynasties with, and see how long it takes me to do something good w/ them.

When I took control of the Giants, in 2007 - they had a bunch of senior citizens playing positions and a collection of 10-year olds and nobodies pitching.

Now look at 'em, 8 short years later. lol.

(Actually, I went to the playoffs several times and actually won a world series once in the intervening years).

My next dyn might be Cards - but I'm waiting for a roster update or something.

"BAD" team! How dare you!

...the correct term is "****-poor excuse for a" team.

Travis Blackley making an appearance - the trade that doesn't matter (Jason Ellison to Seattle for him) actually turned out to matter. Who'da thunk it?

Guess I'll give Moore the benefit of the doubt - he did just bring home a title. Gonna be hard for him to live that one down though - his locker is probably already lined with copies of that photo...

Blackley started for the AAA team until he was 30, when I called him up to be a Lefty middle reliever, b/c someone went down with a season ending injury. After one season in relief, he was given a shot in the rotation, and I think he won 14 games that year. The following year, the last of his contract (age 32), he won 17 games and got himself a World Series ring. :)
