UncleMo
Well, I've always enjoyed this beat: http://youtube.com/watch?v=d12EI3xNiqE This is right before stupid snoop dog and lil john types took over. This is right when "new school" rappers took over and these were the first ones to actuall push old school WAY down. This video makes me look like old man mo, not unclemo. Sean O
I Was Made to Love Her - Stevie Wonder. The one song that makes all other love songs totally unnecessary. abc006
Night Bird Flying by Jimi Hendrix, without a doubt, it's an amazing song. Not his most famous, but one of his best, and my favorite. Little Wing, also by Hendrix, is a beautiful song. In that video, about 2:42 to 2:58 is an amazing lick, but of course everything else is great too. Rock and Roll - Velvet Underground Summertime - Big Brother and the Holding Company (though the original Gershwin isn't too bad either) King Harvest - The Band (The song starts at about 0:48) Anything by the Beatles - only because I couldn't possibly pick a favorite song, there is not a single one I disklike. Road Runner - The Modern Lovers (The video isn't part of it, btw) Anything on Santana's first two or three albums, everything else I just can't stand as much, which is annoying. Once in a Lifetime - Talking Heads The Mesopotamians - TMBG Hardest Button to Button - White Stripes My Generation - The Who (Pete Townsend's hair actually caught fire in that performance) Tell that girl to shut up - Holly and the Italians. No, seriously, it's a great song in a... weird way. And, like Sean O said, but really anything by Stevie, though I think his stuff in the 70s was his best. abc006
"A Quick One While He's Away" - The WhoThat's a great one -- though it really is more like three or four songs in one. Here's a great performance from the rock'n'roll circus, that infamous special that never got released supposedly because the Rolling Stones thought the Who had outshone them in the performance, which, and the Rolling Stones are great, but I think which they did: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DUu0B63qnAI
