Editing team name

Recommended Posts

I am trying to edit the name of the Tampa Bay Devil Rays and I got everything setup (ex:screenshot 2) but I am just not able to change the text in one particular area (see screenshot 1).

Here are the steps I have taken to edit that part of the text. Opened up both the LOC files using LOCLook to change everything that pertains to Tampa Bay and I couldn't find that particular text in there. So I went in and edited the team.dat file AND the org.dat file - only to no avail. So if anyone can please shed some light on this matter, it would be of great help. Take care.

You may need to edit the tstat.dat file as well. That also includes the abbreviated team name:

do you go into Microsoft Word To Edit This?

MOST of the .DAT files can be edited using notepad. There are a couple of files that cannot be opened that way - for instance, hist.dat cannot be opened using notepad.

EDIT: For the team name changes, you would need to modify the two LOC files using LOCLook.
