meteamo
i have to say this is a great dynasty Me too. The scores aren't very lopsided and you don't have a .900 winning percentage either. The screenshots are nice and the presentation is great. Nice easy read. Just seeing that lineup you got ... Mattingly, Boggs, Bernie, etc ... brings back good memories. Keep up the great work. Keep up the great work. thanks for the compliments guys, im finding it hard to score with this team and that coupled with the fact that this pitching staff cant hold anybody down (i seem to give up alot of singles) im not winning very many games here. man i hope i can atleast make the playoffs
meteamo
But that makes it more realistic ...... IMO, a dynasty where a team wins most of its games and has a 15 game lead by June is boring. Excitement adds to the interest. Will the Yanks make the playoffs? Stay Tuned .... It would also be interesting if you use the actual draft picks for the following years (if you get that far). Such as ... imagine another team drafting Derek Jeter, A-Rod, Soriano, Santana and so forth. Keep up the great job.

donniebaseball23
May Schedule Game 24 NYY(Mulholland1-1) @ OAK(Van Poppel0-1) Bombers avoid sweep, win 3-1 Paul O'Neill and A's catcher Terry Steinbach admire blast to right in the 4th inning Oakland - Finally the Yankees got a real good start out of southpaw Terry Mulholland tonight. He went 7 scorless innings scattering 5 hits with 1 strikeout. Its the kind of start the Yanks are gonna need more of as the offense wasn't spectacular but did gain 11 hits in all taking a 3 run lead into the 9th, where closer Steve Howe gave up a 2 out solo homer to Ruben Sierra. He got Geronimo Berroa to ground out to short to earn his 7th save of the year. The Bombers hope to keep it going as they head south to face the Angels in a quick two game set before going back to the Bronx to play a 3 game series against the much hated Redsox. donniebaseball23
Game 25 NYY(Kamieniecki2-0) @ CAL(Leftwitch1-3) Yanks hang on, win 7-6 Yankee closer Steve Howe pumps his fist after recording his 8th save Anaheim - Scott Kamieniecki had a rocky first inning giving up an immediate 3 runs to the Angels, the big blows coming courtesy of Angel outfielder Tim Salmon and Chili Davis who launched back to back jacks. However Kamieniecki stepped it up and shut em down for the next 4 innings running out of steam after the 5th. In the top of the 2nd the Bombers jumped all over Phil Leftwich for 4, and 2 more in the 4th to take a 6-3 lead. Mike Stanley's sac fly off Craig Lefferts in the 7th would prove to be huge as the Angels made this one close scoring 2 on Chad Curtis's triple in the bottom of the frame to bring the Yank lead to 7-5. J.T. Snow hit a solo shot off Bob Wickman in the 8th to pull the Angels within one but after a bit of a scare Steve Howe was able to close it out in the 9th for the Yankees second straight win. donniebaseball23
Game 26 NYY(Key3-2) @ CAL(Anderson2-3) Bombers "escape from L.A.", with 5-4 win Yankee Jim Leyritz came up huge in the 9th with a pinch hit go ahead hr to right Anaheim - The Yankees cruised into the bottom of the 4th tonight behind ace Jimmy key with a 2-0 lead. Then Key ran into trouble when the Angels started the inning with 3 straight singles. Bo Jackson then proceeded to hit a monster grand slam to give California a 4-2 lead. It didn't look good for the Yanks as the Angels took a 4-3 lead into the bottom of the ninth with closer Joe Grahe on the hill. However, after Gerald Williams walked with one out NewYork manager Buck Showalter had one more card to play as he pinch hit Jim Leyritz for light hitting second baseman Randy Velarde. Boy would the move pay off as Leyritz clubbed a Grahe fastball to right for his first homerun of the year and put the Yanks ahead for good. Steve Howe came on to close it for his 9th save. The Yanks now fly back home to the Bronx to start a weekend set against the Redsox. donniebaseball23
Game 27 BOS(Darwin1-2) @ NYY(Abbott1-2) Mattingly's walk off wins it for Yanks Don Mattingly is congratulated at the plate after hitting 2nd homer of the game to beat the Redsox 4-2 NewYork - The first series of the year between the Yankees and Redsox provided plenty of excitement as it came down to the final at bat. The start of the game however seen both starting pitchers dueling through 5 scoreless innings each. The Sox finally jumped on the board first when in the top of the 6th Otis Nixon led off with a single. The next batter, Redsox second baseman Tim Naehring hit the first pitch he saw from Jim Abbott around the foul pole in left for a 2-0 Boston lead. The Yanks got on the board when Don Mattingly led off the 7th with a homerun, then the Yankees tied the score at 2 on an 8th inning pinch hit sac fly by backup catcher Matt Nokes. Bernie Williams led off the bottom of the 9th with a base hit and captain Don Mattingly continued his stellar season with a walk off upperdeck blast to send the sold-out crowd home happy as the Yankees win their 4th in a row. Despite the Yankees being out hit in this one, the combo of starter Melido Perez and Sterling Hitchcock only surrendered a run apiece on the way to a rather easy 6-2 victory. Boston starter Roger Clemens was touched up for 3 runs on 9 hits. The big blow came off the bat of Paul O'Neill who drilled a Clemens offering into the upperdeck in right for his 7th home run of the season. The Indians now come to town for a 4 game set. It will be the veteran Dennis Martinez for the tribe while 3-0 Scott Kamieniecki will look to stay undefeated for the Bombers. They have now one seven in a row and are 7-0 so far in May. Tonight it was unbeaten Scott Kamieniecki who kept a potent Indian lineup off balance giving up 1 run in 6 and a third while striking out 2. The Bombers scored a run in each of the first three innings off Tribe starter Dennis Martinez and three in the 5th. The Indians played some sloppy defense and never really threatened in this one. New York looks to make it 8 straight tommorow sending their ace Jimmy Key to the mound to face Cleveland starter Charles Nagy. In the bottom of the first he drilled his 8th and in the 4th his 9th homeruns of the season for the only 2 runs of the game to help starter Jimmy Key to his 4th win and the Yanks to their 8th straight win overall as the Bombers just continue their impressive roll in May behind excellent pitching and stellar defense. However if the Yanks wish to make it 9 in a row they will have to do it against 5-0 Jack Morris for the Tribe while the Yanks counter with 1-2 Jim Abbott. Ramirez drilled a 2 run bomb in the 2nd off Yankee starter Jim Abbott, and two innings later added a RBI single to give Cleveland a 3-0 lead. Sandy Alomar Jr. added to the lead with a solo hr in the seventh while Jack Morris kept the bombers off balance through the first eight innings. The Indians took a 3-2 lead into the bottom of the 3rd but the Yanks blew it open thanks to back to back jacks. The first was a 3 run shot by Mike Stanley, followed by a solo shot by Luis Polonia to give the Bombers a 6-3 lead. They brought a 6-4 lead into the ninth, then after Cleveland loaded the bases with one out, Albert Belle hit a shot to right off Yank closer Steve Howe but was robbed of a potential go ahead grand slam by right fielder Paul O'Neill to save the game for the Yankees as they held on to win 6-5.
