yankeeboi14
Fresh off a world series win against the New York Yankees. The Marlins look to restore their glory here. I will have the same rosters from the 2004 season. The only thing that will be different is the schedule. I couldn't find a way to change the teams you play so i was stuck with the 07 schedule. Settings: All-Star Hot/Cold Zones: Fade Hitter's eye: Off Strike Zone: On Sliders: Hoop 27's/Custom SP's: Josh Beckett, and Brad Penny AJ Burnett, and Dontrelle Willis Carl Pavano Batting Order: First 2 Games Posted Tommorow

yankeeboi14
Game 1 of 3: Florida Marlins @ Washington Nationals Beckett dominant in Blowout Left: Pierre goes Yard Right: Hernadez got rocked early In the season opener against the Nationals the marlins proved why they are still dominant. Josh Beckett was very impressive by striking out 5 and going 6 full innings without giving up a single run. Mike Lowell proved why he is still one of the best hitters in the game. Livan Henandez was a big dissapointment today. He gave up a leadoff homerun to Juan Pierre the fastest player in the game. The Nats only offense came from Brad Wilkerson who hit a homerun off of reliever Al Leiter. The Nats need to pick up their offense if they don't want to get swept. Next the Marlins will throw Brad Penny. WP: Josh Beckett (1-0) LP: Livan Hernandez (0-1) POG: Juan Pierre (2-5, HR, Double) http://dynasties.mvpmods.com/boxscores//us...eboi14/FLA1.htm

yankeeboi14
Game 2 of 3: Florida Marlins (1-0) @ Washington Nationals (0-1) Brad Penny.... Simply Amazing Brad Penny getting one of his 9 strike outs Brad Penny tonight was simply Amazing. He struck out nine batters. The Marlins offense continued to show why they are a powerehouse. But the story everyone is talking about is this amazing pitching staff the marlins have. Brad Penny was untouchable tonight. The Nationals continue their hitting struggles and are on the verge of being swept in the opening series of this promising season. they were shutout by this great marlins team. Tommorow the Fish will throw AJ Burnett
SeanRobinson
Just curious, where'd you get the rosters? I.e., did you do them custom or is it an old old download? I've also been wanting to do an '04 or '05 dynasty...
yankeeboi14
i got these rosters from the downloads section. of course you might have to make a little changes in MVPEdit but other than that they are pretty good.
yankeeboi14
Game 3 of 3: Florida Marlins (2-0) @ Washington Nationals (0-2) Marlins Win Series With Ease Juan Encarnacion hits a 3-run HR The Nationals did not have an answer to the Marlins all series. The Fish completed the easy sweep of them and improve to 3-0 in the opening week of MLB. Another strong perfomance by Marlins Pitching. AJ Burnett struck out 4 but was getting a whole bunch of ground ball outs. The bats were never dead for the Marlins. Mike Lowell went 4-4 (2B,3RBI) today and thats all they needed. Once again a terrible perfomance by the Nats pitching staff. They really need to get it together if they want to be a team to be reckoned with. Next the Fish Go home to start a series with the Phillies. WP: AJ Burnett LP: Esteban Loaiza POG: Mike Lowell 4-4 (2B,3RBI)
yankeeboi14
Game 1 of 3: Philadelphia Phillies (0-3) @ Florida Marlins (3-0) Marlins Offense Continue to Produce Mike Lowell Continues his hot hitting with a double The Marlins returned home with a bang. They Smashed cole Hamels very early in the game. Miguel Cabrera hit a 2-run HR today and he really set the tone for the rest of the game. Dontrelle Willis Pitched an OK game today. He Struck out 3 but he really struggled with the top of the Phillies order. He even gave up 2 base hits to Cole Hamels. In Jimmy rollins first two at bats he singled twice. The Phils had plenty of men on base but just couldn't produce. Tommorow the Marlins will throw right hander Carl Pavano. WP: Dontrelle Willis LP: Cole Hamels POG: Luis Castillo (2-4, 2B, 3B,3RBI)
yankeeboi14
Game 2 of 3: Philadelphia Phillies (0-4) @ Florida Marlins (4-0) Pavano Hurt but Marlins Win Pavano takes a shot off the ribs The Marlins started off fast but slowed until the later innings. Miguel Cabrera hit 2 homers today. In the bigger story Carl Pavano was hit in the ribs with a line drive from the bat of Jason Michaels. He was taken out in the fifth inning and replaced by LRP Nate Bump. We later got the report that he had a strained ribcage and was out for 6 days. Jaret wright pitched apretty good game and he was throwing heat. Unfortunately he wasn't able to stop the relentless offense of the Marlins. Guillermo Mota finally got a save oppurtunity and he nailed it. next it's back to the front of the pitching staff tommorow on the mound is Josh Beckett. WP: Nate Bump LP: Jaret Wright POG: Miguel Cabrera (2-4, 2HR's) This is the first time ever the Marlins Started 5-

yankeeboi14
Game 3 of 3: Philadelphia Phillies (0-5) @ Florida Marlins (5-0) Marlins Escape...Sweep 2nd Straight Series Luis Castillio nails a homer to left Today the Marlins barely escaped with a victory. Josh Beckett didn't even get the win. He gave up a 2-run double in the first inning. He did strike out five but in a ND. The story was today that the Phillies finally woke up on offense but just couldn't get a victory. Placido Polanco hit a homer today but ONCE again the Marlins offense stepped up huge. It seems every night there is a different person delivering for the Fish. Below are some comments the marlins manager Jack Mckeon had to say on the impressive 6-0 start the Marlins have right now. MLB.com: So what do you think of the 6-0 start? Jack Mckeon: "I believe it's fantastic that we can start out like this. Every night it's a new person stepping up". MLB.com: Is Carl Pavano ok? Jack Mckeon: "Oh yeah carl is fine. He jus hurt his ribs a little bit. he will be back soon". MLB.com: What makes this team go? Jack Mckeon: "I think everybody realizes that we can repeat with this great pitching staff that we have. This is a terrific lineup we have. We just like hearing people telling us that we won't do it but then we go prove that we can."
