Ok, i want to start a dynastie will Total Classics 61. But i want to keep playing normal MVP (with the 2007 rosters and all that.). I thought there was a way to run MVP with TC and then run MVP with the normal help. I hope this makes sense.

Jim, I am not sure if I am alone on this or not, but when I try to install any of the Total Classics mod on top of an already modded game (ex: MVP 07 or MVP 06), I get an error and the TC is not completely installed. I have had to do a fresh install of the game and install the total classics mod of my preference - this works flawlessly. I have ended up keeping a backup of my original game on my hard drive so that I can just copy that every time a new TC mod is released.

Make a separate copy of your normal MVP and then install TC61 on top of it. You can now run either version and have separate dynasties.

mind, well explaining it a bit better? Because well, you can call me stupid

if u install MVP to a differant directory u can have 2 separate instances of MVP on the same computer that run independant from each other.

I have 3 currently

so i just copy my MVP Directory and put it some where and rename it (of course). Then install TC on top of it?

cant i just copy the directory? wont it do the same thing

Yes, you CAN do this and that's how I have multiple installations of the game on my PC. You just need to create a new desktop icon that points to your second installation or start the 2nd installation of the game by opening up Windows Explorer, going to the folder that contains the 2nd installation and clicking on the file "mvp2005.exe".

If you try to install a second copy with the CD's, you might run into problems since the registry has already been updated with the first copy of the game.

That is the way I do it as well. You do have to install it on top of a fresh install, along with the patch of your choice (I use patch #2). MVP06 and MVP07 modify some files that don't play nicely with the TC mods, so like you, I keep a "clean" install of the game and then make a copy of it everytime I want to add a new TC install.

problem! when i click on the TC-1961.exe , it loads then at one point it stops and a error message comes up, it says some weird thing like C:/fdkgmnf?kfdjdf/djfh and then i click OK and then another comes up and says, C:/(i dont really know what it says here) and it says Cannot Be Extracted

Where did you extract the files? If you extracted them to your main MVP2005 folder, you could run into problems. You need to extract them to a different folder.

I am assuming you have winrar installed and thats what you are using to extract the files?

If so, where are you trying to install the total classics mod - on top of the 07 mod or on top of a fresh install?

Thanks for clarifying this for me Jim. Take care.
