Totte
Is it possible to use MVPEdit to edit the rosters from my already started dynasty also how can i un-retire someone? MVPedit only allows you to edit rosters before you start a dynasty. MVPeditor by tywiggins is what you need if you wanna edit rosters inside an already started dynasty. SESbb30
you could use mvpedit to make changes with data importer/exporter. mvpeditor would work too.
xiberger
I don't think there's a way to bring back retired players. Once they quit, they're off the charts. What you could do, though, is to edit a new player into one who recently retired. However, that would be a very time-consuming job, since you would need to change all his attributes manually (with MVP 2005 Editor). As for your question regarding MVPSavReader, it can't display a list of the players who retire. That's because the program only works during a season and not in the offseason. Actually there is a much easier way about it. All he would need to do is import the retired player from one of the roster sets he is in. I had actually imported Larry Walker into UR 8.61 without any hassle at all. Here are the steps that I took: - opened the roster in which Walker was in MVPEdit (UR2.3) - used the export player option to export Larry Walker - opened the current roster set that I was using - used the import player option to import Larry Walker into the free agent pool His career stats, ratings, attributes, were all imported. Hope this helps.

Anyways thanks for all the help i am gonna see if i can figure out something.
redsox
Oh sorry about that. Didn't fully understand as to what you meant. In that case, I believe the answer is no. Now, there is a way around it, but not sure if this would interest you that much or not. Once you reach the end of a particular year in your dynasty do the following: - Before going to the off-season screen, save your game using a different filename. - Use TyWiggins .DAT importer/exporter to extract the .DAT files from your dynasty. - Go through the off-season and make a not of the all the retired players that you would want back. - After going through the off-season, and you get to the spring training screen, save the game use the exporter option from TyWiggins program to export the .DAT files AFTER the off-season. - Save the dynasty and exit the game completely - Open up MVPEdit and import the .DAT files that you had initially exported (the one before the off-season). - Export the players that have retired from the game and you want them back - Close MVPEdit and import the .DAT files that you had exported AFTER the spring training screen. - Now go to either the free-agent pool or the team that you want the players to be added in and just add them in. - Goto tools and select "check errors" to make sure nothing is screwed up. - Once done, extract the .DAT files from MVPEdit into the .DAT importer/exporter folder. - Start the game and load the file that displays the spring training screen. - Use TyWiggins program to import the files back into the game. And if everything worked out fine, you should have the retired players back for one more year. Everything should work out perfectly. The only thing you may have problem with is the player's age and that can be adjusted easily enough in MVPEdit. Now, I don't think even this method work if you have already played regular season games in the 2nd year. You can still import the players from a default roster set, but he would not have the stats that he had in your current dynasty. Hope this is somewhat helpful to you. Take care. NOTE: Always backup your .SAV files just in case something goes wrong.
