venn177
I have the CD in the drive, and it doesn't find it, it just says "please insert correct CD-DVD/ROM and try again" and closes out. Argh after getting this game it SOO wasn't worth it.

venn177
For PC yeah, I just downloaded and installed the MVP 2007 mod and it didn't work. It keeps asking for the CD, which is in...*sigh* Also whenever I try to Patch the game it says there's an error and it can't do it due to an edited file or something :S
donniebaseball23
well then my next question would be do you know that the second CD "disc two" actually runs the game? if your putting in the second disc and its still not reading it then i have no clue what the problem is

That's why you get the error message.

I can jump straight to Patch 5, right?

Also, for the patch to be installed, the game should be un-modded. In other words, if you install the 07 mod and then you are trying to patch the game, it will not work. Besides, you don't need to install the patches if you have the 07 mod installed because the mod installs the appropriate patch for you. Hope this helps. Take care. The first time I went straight for the roster update, then tried to patch the game. The second time (after a fresh install) I went straight to MVP 2007 install, now the patch worked and all is well. Thanks guys! Will post here if I have any more problems, seeing as I'm running Vista and all.
redsox
One thing I have seen on these forums is that for Vista users its better to be running as an admin (not sure if that makes any sense to you or not). I personally still have XP so I won't be able to elaborate more on that, maybe someone who does run a Vista system can.

Yes, well, the first thing I did once I installed it was run it and checked to make sure everything worked properly, which it did, so until Vista decides to disagree with something I should be okay. venn177
Sorry for the double post and all that but uhh...it's still not working, I updated the game with Patch 5, and it works fine, but when I download the newest roster update (just roster update, no MVP 07, takes too long, I'd rather get the roster update working first) it crashes just like it used to...*sigh* I guess I need more help. stEdfuNk
I think for the latest roster update to work, you need have the models.big from the 07 Mod, though I'm not 100% sure
redsox
I am assuming your game is currently un-modded as you were able to install patch 5? If so, make sure that you are installing the standard version of the roster set. If you are installing the plus version, you would need to download and place the corresponding models.big into your data folder.

As stEdfuNk said, you probably need a newer version of the models.big file because the rosters you grabbed most likely have newer faces assigned to the players and these newer faces are not in your current models.big file. If you are missing faces, then the game will definitely crash.
