MrDudleyDoWright
You know, there was a time where you could turn on the TV as a child, and not see something you dis-liked. (Well, I'm speaking for all the people who grew up as a child during the late 80's and early 90's like me) Thats how Nickelodeon was back then, way before Cartoon Network went big, Nick was the station that you could go to to watch a game show, or a good cartoon. But now, i see my nefew watching these cartoons on Nick that are just crap (WITH the exception of Spongebob and Fairly Oddparents) I remember watching shows like Double Dare, You Can't Do That On Television, What Would You Do?, Legends of the Hidden Temple, Guts, All That, Rugrats, Kenan and Kel, Rocko's Modern Life, Angry Beavers, I could go on. All I'm trying to say is that the quality of shows on Nick have gone down drastically, ever since 2000. You would be able to flick on the TV at 4 in the afternoon and watch Charlie Brown,(Yes, they gave Charlie Brown on Nick) or Saturday when they used to give Looney Tunes on Nick. Now, I'm older, life goes on, and i sometimes go and look for some old shows that they used to give on Nick, just to reflect all the fun times i had during my childhood, and the shows they used to give that made it even better Thank You For the people who don't know what i'm talking about here are some refrences Rugrats http://www.retrojunk.com/details_tvshows/277-rugrats/ Double Dare http://www.retrojunk.com/details_tvshows/6...deon-game-show/ My Favorite, What Would You Do http://www.retrojunk.com/details_tvshows/6...t-would-you-do/ The Pie Pod on WWYD http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b_Tph_GUD6s Legends of the Hidden Temple http://www.retrojunk.com/details_tvshows/2...-hidden-temple/ Rocko's Modern Life http://www.retrojunk.com/details_tvshows/1...os-modern-life/

SwinginSoriano
Legends of the Hidden Temple was the best show on TV That show kicked ***. Can't forget Double Dare, even its crappier Family Double Dare version. Still watch both shows sometimes on "Gas", which comes with digital cable. (Once saw Denny Neagle doing a cameo on that channel, he's a great influence on kids...) Rocco's Modern Life was a decent show, and the first two seasons of Ren and Stimpy were great. Sadly Ren and Stimpy relied on shock humor, making the episode much less humorous when watching them 16 years later. They're still great though. TV in general was way better back in the day. Remember American Gladiators Hell yeah! Okay, F this, I'm making a Time Machine!
DJEagles
It's funny this. I grew up in the late '70's and early '80s, when shows like Smurfs, G.I.Joe, Gummi Bears, Transformers, M.A.S.K. , etc. where the norm. I can remember getting up on Saturday morning, and watching cartoons, for what seemed like hours. Now you turn on the tube, and it's all depressing news. Then they wonder why our children know far to much at a young age.

MrDudleyDoWright
Marc Summers = Best Game show host What about Keenan and Kel? That was a great show. I think from 96-2000 I really liked that show too, i remember (i think) they used to give it after Double Dare in the 90's. And on NickGAS, they stopped giving all of those good shows, now they just run repeats ot Guts, Nick Arcade, DD2000, Figure it Out and legends. Man, I've really gotten old, and I'm only 17 :)

I gotta say - Nick provided lots of entertainment... ...but my Saturday mornings were consumed by G.I. Joe, Smurfs, Gummi Bears, Transformers, Voltron and the like. Sigh. I miss those days. Ohh yeah, collecting the original figures is not a joke either. i spend about 100 - 200 a figure to keep my collection going
AstroEric
I liked the Nickelodeon commercials too. (Other commercials I miss: Charms Blow Pops, Fruity Pebbles Christmas, Crossfire, Picture Pages, After These Messages We'll Be Right Back.) And M.A.S.K.? Best cartoon show ever, according to my memory. Best toys too. Way awesomer than Transformers.

tejdog1
I was born in 1984, and I agree with the sentiment in this thread, TV has gone downhill in a HUGE way. Nick had the best shows ever. Inspector Gadget Rugrats Ren and Stimpy You Can't Do That on Television Hey Dude Salute Your Shorts Figure it Out All That Double Dare Legends of the Hidden Temple Kenan and Kel and many more I've forgotten due to the fact they were canceled well over 10 years ago. I am an old 23.
NYM
Whoa whoa whoa...Figure it Out was one of Nicks worst shows. I hated it. I wouldn't be able to choose a favorite. If I had to I would probably pick rugrats, but still, there were a lot of good ones. I still watch Legends of the Hidden Temple and Guts on nick GAS sometimes lol. Good ****.
