be smart.. get a 360

360 is better hands down, i played the PS3, i played MLB 2K7 and MLB 07 the Show, and needless to say i was unimpressed. The colors and the framerates are bad, it's not as smooth as the 360. If i were to get a Ps3, i would only get 2 games for it. Resistance: Fall Of Man, and MLB 07 the Show. If Resistance: Fall Of Man were a 360 title, it would kick butt

360 is better

360 is way better, i have it and it has great graphics, but i think i'm going to buy a PS3 next year so i can play MLB 08: the show or MLB 2K8

It's basically a done deal. At Circuit City, for about $450, I can get the premium 360 system w/ Forza whatever and some ultimate something game, plus two controller docks and Halo 3. My friend has an extra wireless controller, and if I ever want wireless internet, I'll just get the adapter. I'm not running wires through my house.

I'm still interested to hear opinions, though.

My thing is if he is used to the controller layout of his PS2, why should he transplant to an unfamiliar system?

I really think learning the buttons of a controller should be the least of Dan's worries. You WILL learn the controller eventually.

Good deal. I've never heard of controller docks for the 360 though. Do you mean the play and charge kit?

Its' funny because almost every exclusive 360 game is in fact a shooter

maybe not

Sega Patent reveals Dreamcast 2 is in the works

http://tarr.uspto.gov/servlet/tarr?regser=...&entry=77253368

That is the serial no. for the trademark not the patent, but that doesn't really matter. They have an Office Action issued against the mark DREAMCAST, but it looks like the issues stated by the Examiner seem easy to overcome.

The mark DREAMCAST being filed for registration in the U.S. maybe only means they want to register the mark in the U.S. and nothing more. Notice that the mark applied for there is not DREAMCAST 2. That says something. You would think that they would try to register the mark DREAMCAST 2 rather than just file an application for DREAMCAST.

Well, with me being in IP, who said work and pleasure don't mix? Back to work for work related items instead of gaming!

Edit: Looking at their application for registration, I do see that they are filing it on an 44(e) basis, meaning that it is registered in another country (Japan, I bet), and based off of that registration they can get it registered here in the U.S. But in the U.S., if they're ever going to keep that registration, they need to prove that they are using that trademark. So, from here on out, after they Office Action gets cleared up, from then until 5 years from now, they need to show that they are using the mark by selling the goods they said they are going to: "home video game systems"

Edit: Now may be a great time to put money into Sega stocks, assuming they are cheap.

First off it comes to the games you play. If your into shooters and online i would say 360. The online on the ps3 doesnt compare to the 360. Also you dont have to pay for the XBOX Live if you dont want to play others just download.

There is alot of hype and guessing with the PS3. Any game that people bring up on reasons to get one hasnt come out.

360 is the system in my book until sony gets their act together.

  • 2 weeks later...

After seeing the pics of MLB 08 I am thinking of PS 3.

I wouldn't buy the PS3 just because of the screenshots. The screenshots look a lot better than the game actually does.

Couldn't be any more true, Timp...

They doctor up those screenshots, big time...Although, the MLB series has a history of good graphics work, anyways. Not worth 400 for a PS3, though...
