I don't what you folks have against Brian Roberts. He is a fire starter at the top of the line-up, a talented hitter who is a lot of fun to watch. I think sometimes people get caught up in "up and coming talent" and minor leaguers. Brian Roberts is NOW, those guys are "Possibly laters." Last time I checked, the Cubs are trying to end the 100 year misery NOW.

i like brian roberts alot but its just what they are asking for... we already have 2b/ss and i dont know why we would give up our top 2 young starting pitchers.

Sean Marshall and Rich Hill both posted sub 4.00 ERAs last year and tied for the second highest ERA+ in the Cubs rotation. How are they not 'now'?

It's always a good idea to take your NL best starting rotation and trade 40% of it for a 'spunky' middle IF.

yes both of them are young but if you see their best outings... then they are incredible, they are just inconsistant... which leads in inexperience which will improve in the coming of years.
