dlane09
One thing I dont like about the game- if you let the computer manage a team (like an oponent during a dynasty) it automatically sorts players based on rating, which shuffles a lot of key pitchers down to the lower levels. I was wondering if one of two things could be accomplished: 1) a new rating system for RP's, in order to keep them in the proper level or 2) some sort of quota system. For example, I noticed every team ALWAYS has 2 players that can play catcher. Could this be applied to pitchers as well? Maybe a program that requires 4 or 5 players with an "RP" designation. Otherwise, I sometimes get teams stocked with 12 starters, and the team's all-star closer is playing AAA-ball. Thanks for the help.
gowingsgo8803
Probably not. The best way to avoid this is to just manage the stuff yourself. Why don't you just not let the computer manage the team? I know what you're talking about, 'cause it happens to me a lot. I don't think there's a way to fix this, as it has to do with the AI, and I don't think that the guys here have too much control over how the lineups are shuffled, otherwise, someone before me would have answered it. Bottom line - don't let the CPU manage your team. If you have to, then just shuffle the rosters manually. Every game has the same problem too - in NBA Live, if a player has a SF/SG positioning, and the SF is good but the SG is bad, that original player will be benched because their primary position is taken by someone better than them. TheNemesis
I know what he's talking about. It's not letting the CPU manage your own team, its the opposing teams in dynasty mode. the comp seems to not like relief pitchers, so they always keep just one RP to act as teh closer and the rest of their bullpen is made up of starters. This imbalance ends up finding its way down the ladder too, as many of the minor league teams end up having to use relievers in their rotation.
