redsfan776
care to expand on that? on operationsports, Kolbe and some other SCEA people post updates sometimes on there... Please, let me be the first to come in and rain on everyone's parade. The link the OP points to has some incorrect information: 1) All-Star info is indeed from last years game 2) 40 man roster will NOT be included in MLB 08 3) While not incorrect, the Career Spotlight bullet, as well as a few others that I'm sure you recognize are from 2 years ago So before we get all the way down an incorrect path I want it stated that: MLB08 will in fact NOT, I repeat NOT have 40 man rosters. -Kolbe Here is a link- http://forums.operationsports.com/vBulleti...t=231358&page=

abc006
metsreyes, graphically.... thats as far from the truth.Even if MLB 08 is 10 times better in every single aspect than MVP, MVP is still for PC. Automatically it's ahead. UncleMo, I'm not sure about that, but my guess is that it's something the announcers say during the middle of the game about a player. sfgiantsflgators
I was dead set on 2K8, but now I might have to rent both first. I am looking forward to seeing how Brinkman improved 2K this season though.
NYM
Just wait until 2K8 comes out with some information. Sure it looks great, and some features sound interesting, but you're comparing this to a game that has only let out a cover. If there waiting till late December to reveal some info, it must be good. This game does look good though. I wish they would make it for the 360 because I would definitly give it a look.
el_jefe061
The only things that kept 2k8 from being a great game were fielding problems and the franchise. Both will be fixed. The pitching was good (although knuckleballs and changeups sucked), the hitting was alright, and the graphics were good. You could argue ball physics were a problem, although I think it was just the camera angle. Fix fielding, franchise, and ball physics/camera, you've got a fantastic game. wrigleyville33
one of the things i really hated about 2k7 was that you could never hit a ball down a line for a double. it was always fielded.
Sidewinder
one of the things i really hated about 2k7 was that you could never hit a ball down a line for a double. it was always fielded. You guys havent played 2k7 for awhile. The small fixes took care of the camera and fielding issues, other than manually trying to make your player leap and take away a HR. Slider adjustments slowing down outfielders and lowering arm strength really take care of those LONG singles. I get doubles every time except for parks with a short porch like Fenway. The last 5 months or so, 2k7 has really gotten very playable. I started using the swing stick 3 months ago and really like it, other than the check swing being broken. Needless to say, I am looking forward to 2k8.
Alluba_cards
How come games never look as good playing as they did in the stills companies release? That is true for most games, but Mlb2k7 was very close to the companiy releases last year, and Call of Duty 4 hit it right on target. Ncaa 08 looked good to. But Halo 3 was bad compared to the company releases. Now, I got to go check on the Glaus/Rolen deal.
