360 Problems

NYM

Recommended Posts

So my 360 encountered the red ring of death with a hardware problem. Ok, no problem. I go online, put in my information and wait for a box to be sent to me.

I get the box last Monday. I find out it's free shipping and this is not going to cost me a thing. Cool. I get my 360 back in the mail today and when I open it, I find a free month of Xbox Live. That's nice. I just finished playing a game of NHL 08 when my game froze. Okay, restart. Then there it was again. Three blinking red lights. Hardware failure not even an hour into playing.

What the hell am I supposed to do now? Send it back to get refixed so it can break again? I have a warranty on it, but I don't have the reciept from the store I bought it, or the orginal box.

What should I do?

leave it in open view in the seat of your car and park it in the most dangerous neighborhood in your area. then wait for the home owner's or renter's insurance.

otherwise, i'd call up microsoft and find out what the hell is going on.

you say you go the warranty on it, are you talking about a store extended warranty?

If so take it to best buy and have them look up the info, they will swap it on the spot.

where are you sitting you 360 when you are playing it?

Kraw, it's not in a closed space at all. It's also sitting horizontally. Okay, I'm going to see what the support says and if they can't help me I'll go to bestbuy.

Um...I wouldn't say that. At least PS3's don't give almost every user this kinda problem. :)

ive never had any problems with my 360, except for occasinal freezing. i had the ring of death this morning when my power went out, but it works fine now.

Well nothing can be done about the warranty.

I keep emailing the email support system for Xbox, but they are retarted. They keep avoiding my question and I'm going in circles with them.

I just made like $200 dollars for my birthday, and I have a whole bunch of money from washing cars during the summer so I'm buying myself a new Xbox, and this time I'm not losing the warranty because this is the last time it will happen to me.

I'm pissed though. I wish they'd send me a new 360.

How much do you want to sell the dead one for?

It's not on a carpet.

This is actually the third time it's happened to me since August 2006.
