Supposedly the guy who wrote the script wanted to make a sequel...but if they kept the ending of the book, I don't really see how that's possible. Smith gived the blood sample to the lady that saved him(She hides in this small room along with a child when the Virus creatures take over the house)Smith then ends up killing himself along with the creatures with a grenade. Next day or week or w/e the lady and child drive to Vermont(were she heard there was a Survival camp..Smith told her it never existed) She and the child walk up to a big gate and it two soldiers open it and it shows a Air view of a town with a bunch of survivors walking its way to the newcomers.
