Kccitystar
Hey guys...I have something I want to share with you all.... I have created a new site for you all to check out. Sure I might just get flamed for this as spam, but whatever. It's a site I've been planning on creating since last year, but never got the chance to, until now. http://www.mvpinsider.net . It is already live, and hopefully I'll upload my stuff up there, as well as anybody else's stuff if you want to. There's also a community started there, called, well, the MVP Insider Community. There's not alot of people though but like in Field of Dreams, if you Build it, they will come. Cheers, kc

Guest Mindwarped
cool site, who is your host? why did you go with Mambo over PHP-nuke or others?
Kccitystar
Well, the mambo skins were badass, and i heard that php-nuke had security holes
Guest Mindwarped
skins are about the same, but finding then for php-nuke for free is hard. the security holes are easy to fix I went with PHP-nuke because of all the 3rd party (free) addons and plugins

Victory blue. cheers, kc one last thing about php-nuke system login and board login are the same by default. I would think the only way to do it you would both have you use the same sql database for the main site and the board
Kccitystar
Yeah I know, its because PHP-Nuke has its own version of PHPBB integrated, as Mambo doesn't. There are hacks for it though but I tried them all. No go.
Trues
looks good kc. I've been messing with mambo for a while now as well. I'm still not sure which one I'm gonna go with... PHP Nuke or Mambo.

carter
Maybe I am missing something, but I don't understand the point in having two seperate sites? We will then have to check two sites for downloads, and read posts in two seperate forums. Why, Bambino? Why? Wouldn't it be easier to just have one site for everything MVP? Please don't interpret this as being against Alchemist, because I am not. I applaud his efforts. I just don't believe that this is the place to recruit new members... bambino!
