Cell Phone Help

Does anyone know anything about cell phone here? My Verizon/Motorola phone decided to stop working last night. Most of the time, it won't go on at all, but when it does, there's a blue screen with the Motorola symbol and it says "BOOTLOADER USB INIT" on the bottom. The tech guys at Verizon said there's nothing they can do, like can't transfer any phone numbers or pictures off of it, but I want to know if there's anything I can try and do by accessing it through a PC.

Since you guys know a thing or two about modding, I just wanted to see if anyone here could help. Thanks a lot.

Sounds like it's just the firmware that's gone astray. Remove the SIM card and try it in another phone, it should still have your numbers etc. Also, try contacting Motorola and see if they can do a firmware flash.

verizon phones do not contain SIM cards.

However flashing it would nto be a bad idea if you can get the hardware to hook it up to the computer.

This would however delete anything left of you numbers and contacts

They don't have SIM cards? How do they store their data? Internal memory?

God, that's stupid.

yeah i know they have the besr service in the northeast US though. Real Pain to replace a phone though.

I have no idea what CDMA is, just thanks for the input, guys.

Actually, while I was at work, someone brought it back to the Verizon store for me and got it to load back up the real start up screen! For 1 second! I'm charging it right now, and it's showing the normal charging screen, so hopefully it's all back to normal.

Yeah, mine endured its share of skateboard related falls, the side is cracked, the "end" button stopped working for a while. Then all of a sudden, two nights ago it wouldn't turn on. That bootlogger thing.

Well, the phone got started, so I immediately copied my pics to a memory card and then onto the PC. Safe now.

Is it a Razr? I have a razr on Verizon, and I found websites dedicated to hacking the Verizon version so you could access everything on the phone. I've used it to put my own ringtones (Black Keys, Social Distortion, stuff you cant get from verizon) and used it to do file transfers. I'll link you, if your interested.
