krawhitham
There were no reports of serious injury or death from the quake near the coastal city of Gisborne. Hory is in Wellington (according to his IP) looks like he is a good distance from the quake Gisborne to Wellington is 538km (334 miles) 8 hours
Hory
Yea I felt that last night, thought the cat was jumping on the back of my chair. Fortunately it wasn't 'the big one' which we will get one day, since Wellington is built on a fault line.

That's what you get for taking our America's Cup through dramatically better design and yachting skill. Glad you're ok though.
Hory
Wow, the CNN report makes it sound a lot worse than it was. My father lives up in Gisborne, and everything's ok up there, just a few damaged buildings and minor injuries but nothing serious, fortunately.
