EA may buy off Take Two

This is a site for MVP, obviously the majority will say MVP has better gameplay or that 2k's isn't good. Whatever I don't want to argue over 2k and MVP because I love both. You guys can have your opinion and I'll have mine lets leave it at that.

2K7 was alright, But the thing was the mechanics were all screwy, Ben Brinkman even said it himself, then they only had a few months to develop the game, and that now, that he has a full development cycle, so the game could kick a**. Now 2K7 wasn't the best, But it was a much bigger improvement from 2K6. If EA bought Take Two, i really dont know what to say if it happened?, Would EA turn 2K Baseball into a madden type series, where for some years the gameplay was garbage? Or will they make another MVP 05 type game but better, with extra things and for next gen systems? I dont know

Saying black and white tv is better than color tv is also an opinion. What do you not understand?

I guess I came off a little strong, however some people do think black and white tv is better.

Not to hijack the thread, I really hope if EA buys TT, they make a PC game, because I'm not sure if they will.

2k7 is a good game, people can say what they want, but its good

It's a very good game. But like all games, it has its problems. The biggest problem for me is definately the fielding. The problem is, unlike MVP, that problem can not be fixed by simply editing the datafile.

Friedman, and everyone else who's responded in this thread, I just hope EA buys Take Two so this exclusive nonsense is back in EA's hands for baseball. And then EA makes a new Mvp baseball. I don't care if they rename the game to something else, I just want EA to make a brand new game for us all.

I couldn't have said it better myself.

I couldn't agree more. Especially if EA ends up making their baseball game for the PC.

I enjoyed playing 2K7 right up until the season ending bug that kept me from being able to start the playoffs. I went back to MVP at that time, and have been enjoying that also. Taking the bugs aside, I prefer the MVP game play. When I switched back, it was most noticeable - particularly being able to see what kind of pitch is being thrown to you when you're at the plate.

See I never had any of these problems. In fact I haven't had any problems. It's not only about opinion but also personal experience

2k7 plays a great game now with the appropriate sliders. I will admit out of the box in March, it did not.

But after the intial patch in July, it has continued to get better. Use the swing stick and the right sliders to avoid the excess HRs. Fielding works great now, other than the abiltiy to jump and rob HRs manually.

By slowing down the fielders and lowering the arm strength, not only do you eliminate the AI robbing HRs alot, but you have realistic outcomes on batted balls, in the outfield and infield.

Check swing doesnt work right though. Needs to be fixed.

And lets be honest, anyone from Canada or Rhode Island hasnt played enough baseball to have a respected opinion. The season is way too short there. Now if you were from a sunbelt state, that would be a different story.:) Stick to hockey and Lacrosse. I'm sure you guys are experts on those. J/K

2k7 continued to get better the last 6 months. I saw small changes along the way in gameplay and even the stadium ads. I think the 2k team were putting out small fixes along the way, without advertising them.

I was a big High Heat PC fan from the beginning and then MVP 05 PC. Without the mods, MVP would have never come close to what it is now.

Both games I still enjoy, but since this summer, I find myself playing 2k7 much more. But online play is broken due to just enough lag when batting to make hitting a guessing game, instead of a reaction game. Especially with hard throwing pitchers.
