MarlinsMS_35
Since my game was crashing, and I couldn't find the source. I hate having to reinstall as a last resort, this idea came to my head. What if there was a program that we could run that would tell us what files are corrupted, so that we can know immediately what we need to fix/replace, to make everythiugn much easier, and climate the WHY IS MY GAME CRASHING????????????????????? threads. Though, knowing human nature they will still pop up. Is this a possibility?
BigPaPa
well idk becuase so far as i can tell their anrt alot of ways outside of running the program to tell if the file is corrupted. If it crashes no good if it doesnt your ok. i do know that EAgraph and Biggui have been known to corrupt files so i dont use them at all anymore to avoid problems. MarkB
I like the idea...it probably wouldn't be too hard for someone to create a utility to check if certain files are compressed etc., or scan the contents of the files for mismatches (a 512x512 .JPG in a file that should have a 256x256 .BMP, for example), or check for issues with rosters etc.
