ksig24
arent you at TSL? Yeah, I am a Mod on the CAP side of things for MVP. I have been inactive because of my frustration with the game. Progression has been terrible and I am not a fan of unrealistic player movement. Now that I am here with a fresh copy of MVP05 that I never opened from years ago, I am ready to rock! With that being said, are there Mods (is that what they are called?) that allow the user total control of all rosters and teams for maximum roster accuracy? ksig24
It does indeed play different. They're quite easy to install though, as most come with automated installers, and the rest have good readmes attached to them. I would recommend downloading MVP '07 mod, which is a total conversion mod, including rosters, uniforms, ball physics, progression of players, along with much more such as stadiums. MVP 07 comes with an automated installer, and there are other project such as Total Classics where you can relive years like 1967, 1994 (a seperate project) and others such as MVP Caribe which re-does Latin Winterball teams from Mexico, Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic and Venezuela (I'm almost positive that's it exactly). Great info Ron, thanks so much. I will keep showing my face here asking questions. I am at work now, but I will be on and my copy of MVP will be finished installing, I didnt have time to do it today. As far as how the game plays with the Mods, can you give me some ideas of what exactly has been implemented to make it better? I noticed videos on YouTube and saw several different game presentations such as ESPN, FOX and they were amazing. I also saw different commentators! How is all of this possible? ronmexico
Well pretty much anything that is a picture has a file, so you can edit those pictures, and thusly distribute it to the mvpmods community. There are also moddable aspects such as progression, which is because the info is in a file that can be opened in Microsoft Excel. Any file that can be opened can be edited. Things such as batting stances can't be edited, because they are in the .exe file and an edited .exe file cannot be legally distributed.

This is not exactly what you're asking for. http://www.mvpmods.com/Downloads/details/id=3607.html With the Team Changer in this program, you can give yourself control of any team you want. You can only control 1 organization at a time though. But, you can actually play every single game if you wanted to.
ksig24
Thanks for all this great info guys. I dont want to get too far ahead of myself now. I dont even really know how to replace files or utilize any of these programs that everyone raves about. Maybe a little step by step tutorial? Compassion is greatly requested LOL! Go ahead, call me a n00b.
ronmexico
It'll either be in the readme, or be an automated program. Sometimes both. n00b It's fine, at least you're not being snippy about it like some people tend to be.

ksig24
Ok, now that you got it out of your system LOL. I did read the FAQs but didnt really find the information too resourceful at this time. Not to say that it wont be once I'm up and running. So MVP edit is going to be my new bestfriend considering I am a prospect and roster junkie?
ksig24
After looking at this site for hours and reading just about every thread I have some questions. With all the different mods that are out there, do I need to DL each individual one for everything? Does the Ultimate rosters include cyberfaces of everyone? Can I play this on my MacBook Pro using BootCamp Windows with the keyboard? Is there a package mod that includes everything? What is the general concensus of mods that are essential to the ultimate gaming experience? Are there leagues? Online play? How much space does all of this take up on average? Thanks again! With all the different mods that are out there, do I need to DL each individual one for everything? MVP 07 mod has everything you will need. Audio, Cyberfaces, Portraits, Rosters, OVerlay, Stadiums, etc. Does the Ultimate rosters include cyberfaces of everyone? No Can I play this on my MacBook Pro using BootCamp Windows with the keyboard? not sure Is there a package mod that includes everything? MVP 07 mod What is the general consensus of mods that are essential to the ultimate gaming experience? the majority of the people will tell you rosters are essential. Alot of people use cyberfaces, portraits, jerseys, audio, etc (all in mvp 07 mod) but some computers won't handle it because of the spec. Are there leagues? Online play? mvpleague.net only online play is ip to ip because ea took the servers down How much space does all of this take up on average? couple gigs

Your specs can indeed handle cyberfaces and portraits and all that. It's about 2 gigs for each install.
