ksig24
How are you able to find this game so frequently? I have read threads where people were searching for months and still couldn't find the game in any store - (let alone eBay where its being sold for a fortune). In regards to your problem - what are your comp. specs? When you try to copy all the data from the CD onto your hard drive, were you able to do it without any problem? I take it you don't have any images mounted? I dont really understand image mounting even though I have seen it on here frequently. When I copy the disk one to the HD it has no problem, but disk two asks to overwrite files and then messes up the install.
ksig24
It cant be my computer, I have a good one built from the ground up. I guess I can always try and install it on my Dell, but its like 2 years old. I never use it now that I have a Mac, but it was a good laptop. redsox
Disk 2 asks to overwrite files? I don't think that's possible with the original disks. Because, if you had already installed the game, you can't perform a second install using the CDs again. My suggestion would be to completely erase anything that is related to MVP Baseball 2005 (the main folder and the my documents folder) and begin a fresh install. Also, there is no need to attempt to mount a CD image for installing. It will only complicate things. Also, have you tried installing with the CDs on another computer? Have you tried playing the games without mods? the mods add alot to the original install and if your game can play without mods installed then its def your comp that can't handle it. Yeah, once I place the disk one into the tray and copy the files to the HD once it is complete I place the second disk in the tray and copy to the same location. There are similar files but different sizes. I have deleted and uninstalled this game several times. I guess I will try and install it on another computer. When I try and play the game with no mods, the team logos say missing images. Its weird, but I will try and install it on another windows based computer. Thanks guys. MonkeysUncleByMarriage
I am having the EXACT same problem right now. My discs are in great shape. I get to 66% and aaa3nite.big and I get the error saying it can't transfer from media. I have had this game for awhile and I have played it fine even until two days ago.. when I was decided I needed to reinstall because I had overwrote the original files and wanted the original game back on my comp in order to play more mods. I have used a reg clean and a defrag to try and clean up any problems, I have also manually went into regedit and deleted MVP files. Still get the same result. Its entirely frustrating. MonkeysUncleByMarriage
Figured it out, at least on my end. Maybe this was the original posters problem too. My discs look to be in great shape, so dont be fooled like I was into thinking that that is not the issue. I ran a programm called CDCheck and the sector containing the file aaa3nite.big is a bad sector. I dont know this happened or if maybe there is some scratch or something I just cant see, but thats my problem.
