ksig24
Same, thing is happening to me. I install MVP 07 and the Griffey screen loads, but crashes at the Podsednick screen. MVP 05 has no team images at the team select sreen. I tried to install the patch, then the reboot but still the same thing. Any suggestions? I have spent numerous hours installing and uninstalling and all I want to do is start contributing.
BigRog
Why are you making so many threads about your installation problems. Can't you keep it to one thread? As i've said before it is prolly your computer not being able to handle the game.
ksig24
What should the system requirements be? I am pretty sure my machine is powerful enough. I stressed my problems, but no one addressed the individuals. Thanks. I dont mean to double post. Im just anxious to start playing.
BigPaPa
hey i have an awesome idea Post your systems specs and theres no need tro create a new thread every time you want to ask a question. It get very annoying
Kelvarr
And also try installing the game without MVP 07 and see if it will run right out of the box.
ksig24
I have a celeron 1.4 GB processor, 1GB RAM. A good video card and sound card. This is a desktop that I built a few years ago. I never use it and it is super fast and reliable.

What did you get bored or something? I have not posted on this thread for a few days. I was following the rules. Btw who the hell do you think you are with this hypocritical post? Do you have anything to provide this community? Did you play professional baseball for four years like I did? I actually have something to provide this community, so if I want to post about getting my game up and running with the help of some other people I will. If so where? Before you start yelling at anyone, stop and think for a second. Even though he is being hypocritical you don't have any right to bash him like that. Don't bring up the have you provided anything to the community stuff either because it wont help you when you haven't contributed anything yet either. ksig24
I couldnt agree with you more. All I was doing was asking for help and he had no basis to bash me. I have not provided anything yet. Im wrong and I apologize. Yes, I played in the Brewers farm system for four years. I tore my rotatorcuff and labrum and that has been it. I did get a call from SF last summer though for a 10 day contract, but my playing days are over.

ksig24
Thanks! The highest I made it was A ball, was about to be moved up to AA and got hurt. So it ended up being a world of up's and down's. Finally I just called it quits.

ksig24
Its not like that. I would never give up. In the minors things are done a little bit differently. I never bounced back from the shoulder injuries so they give you an option and it begins with R and ends in elease. This is not the road you want to go down as an injured player because it can effect you monetarily.
meteamo
Maybe the next MVP Release can include ksig in the Brewer's farm system. LOL (or maybe he already was) There can be many reasons why the game crashes like that. I don't know enough about the Mod or how intensive the machine needs for the improved graphics to know if it would be a machine problem, but if you're convinced that it's not ... you can search for game crash load or something more relevant in the search forum section. Some useful links might include: 1. Is your MVP Baseball 2005 game crashing? 2. GAME CRASHING 3. MVP 07 Issue!!! When I come across a crash, I usually make sure the clean version (w/o any mods) runs okay. If it does, I would install one or two mods at a time to try to pinpoint the problem. If I'm too lazy, I usually would use BIG GUI utility to make sure it's not a compression issue with any of the files (ie: models, portraits, load screens, etc). Or, if you modified the rosters beforehand, maybe it has something to do with that. Other than that, I wouldn't know what the problem is off-hand. But I've been fortunate. BTW ... just in case, did you install any other Mods other than the MVP 07 Mod? Or did you modify the rosters before hand such as with MVP Edit? And if your Hard Drive is large enough, it's always good practice to make a copy of the MVP05 directory as soon as you install the game (and w/o any kind of mod). This way, if something like this happens again, you can easily revert back to the original. Also, if you use one of the Total Conversion Mods, you can play three different games (ie: Total Classics, MVP 94, MVP 07) at the same time. And last but not least, if the load screens may be an issue, you can backup the MVP07 loadxx.big files and see if the original loadxx.big files work instead. This way, you would know the problem lies with a loadxx.big file(s). Good luck with your problem. note: The load screens are included in the loadxx.big files and if the files aren't located in the data directory, they may be in the data/frontend folder. In order to see what graphic is in each big file, you can use EA Graphics utility program.
ksig24
Yea, it is really frustrating. I just want to play the game. When I get home tonight I will try and install the game on my Dell Laptop that I have hardly ever used and we will see what happens. Thanks guys.
