DanGCA
:?: I just upgraded my video card to 7600GS (best AGP card I could get). First problem was that play speed increased dramatically. On these forums I was able to figure out how to correct that (thanks to all who came before me). But I still have Shimmering/Sparkly grass. Basically it looks like a tearing issue. I believe it is a redraw/refresh rate problem. I have V-Synch turned on both in my NVidia control panel (set for MVP 2K5) and in the game itself. Also I have enabled triple buffering through the Nvidia control panel. Neither work. I also set my AA setting to 4X thinking it may help....it did not. I have a SynchMaster 930bf LCD with a refresh rate of 60hz which I don't believe I can modify. I have also used the the DXdiag to force the Directdraw to a 60hz refresh rate. Is there any thing else I can do? At this point the game is playable...just the shimmering grass is annoying. Thanks in advance for any help. Cheers, Daniel
BigPaPa
well you could roll back your grass textures to EA default but i dont know if their is a quick and painless way to do that. might try finding a grass update in the DL section and try different grass textures. Idk man ive never had that problem but i know the updated grass textures have done this to people in the past.

DanGCA
Thanks for the help. I installed a grass update and that appears to have taken care of it. Cheers, daniel
