alot of people have been in handcuff this is not big deal i dont see why we are ahrd on people becuase they play sports. We got woman beaters, drunk drivers, drug addicts, and god knows who else playing sports and the things we concentrate on are some 21 year old kid getting roudy at a club and a couple of Baseball players who stuck needles in their asses. Roger clemens get publicly crucified for as of yet unproven use of steroids. Yet brett myers punches his wife in the mouth in broad day lite no one says ****. We got our priorities screwed up. For god sakes theirs a guy on the raiders who killed, aka took a life, in a drunk driving accident and no one cares. Idk about you guys but to me. If someone want to mess up their own health with steroids and HGH then sure they are wrong but it is a far worse offense to, beat your wife or kill a person.

ST. LOUIS -- Leonard Little will remain a full-fledged member of the St. Louis Rams until his legal problems are resolved in court.

Little, who pleaded guilty to involuntary manslaughter in a 1998 drunk-driving accident that killed a St. Louis woman, was arrested early Saturday in the St. Louis suburb of Laud on suspicion of drunk driving. He was charged Monday as a persistent offender with felony driving while intoxicated and speeding, and freed on $7,500 bond.

The Rams and the NFL do not condone drinking and driving "under any circumstances," coach Mike Martz said in a statement on Wednesday. But he added that because he is innocent until proven guilty, Little will for now continue to participate in team events.

"I know this is a very emotional time for all of us," Martz said. "The portrayal of Leonard as being insensitive and unremorseful has not been my observation, or that of our coaches and players."

Little was arrested shortly before 4 a.m. Saturday for reportedly traveling 78 mph in a 55-mph zone on Interstate 64. A probable cause statement filed by police said Little had bloodshot and watery eyes, smelled of alcohol and failed three roadside sobriety tests.

The statement said Little admitted to drinking alcoholic beverages.

Little was suspended without pay for the first half of the 1999 season after pleading guilty to involuntary manslaughter in the 1998 accident that killed Susan Gutweiler. In that case, Little's blood alcohol level was nearly twice the legal limit.

Little was sentenced to 90 days in jail, 1,000 hours of community service and four years of probation, which was completed in 2002.

A bond hearing in the latest case is May 18. A grand jury likely will review Little's case within the next two months.

Little, who has spent his entire six-year career with the Rams, went to his first Pro Bowl after last season. He was fifth in the NFL with 12½ sacks despite missing a month with a torn chest muscle.

Uh, dude, if you meant Leonard Little - he's still a DE for the Rams.

...as for "no one cares" ... you must know shockingly little about both the NFL and the St. Louis area...

Little's "situation" has been well documented and much controversey surrounds him in St. Louis.

It all surrounds the issue of "when should you give someone a second chance" and "when have they blown that chance?"

I just think its messed up that we are like Oh were tough on steroids blah blah blah 50 game ban youll never get into the hall and yet someone takes a life, gets a half season suspension and goes back to playing football.

They didn't say too much about on the news yesterday. It was the leading sports story, but not much was mentioned about it. The big story on McFadden was that he was honored by the Little Rock Touchdown Club.
