Kccitystar
I want to know who is making you buy this game so we can give them a beat down. You don't have to fork over your money to anyone, especially a company that basically has a monopoly, and can't do a good enough job to deliver to you. When it is the only baseball video game out on the XBOX360, the amount of criticism skyrockets and people will not cut this game any slack. Anyway, looks like the The Show got them this year in visuals. This is 60fps though, right? If it's 60FPS all around then I'll reconsider.
timay
You never played the game yet, no reason to hate. Someone scared 2K FINALLY might have made the PERFECT baseball game, that will blow MVP Baseball out of the water graphically (of course) and gameplay wise. That people will resort to playing MVP Baseball 2005 when they are not near their 360 or PS3, but most of the time will play 2K8. Ehh, nevermind, people will still hate because it's not an EA title and its not called MVP baseball, but for the rest of you who dont care the name of the game as long as its the baseball title that we have been waiting for since nintendo, I hope we arent dissapointed. NYM
KC I heard it is 60FPS. How can you guys judge the game on a couple screen shots. First of all, don't worry about the graphics. A game doesn't go from spectacular graphics to PS2 quality graphics in a year. You haven't even seen game play footage, which to most of the EA fanboys is more important than graphics. Wait until you see in-game footage of XBOX 360 and PS3. Those looked like they were from a PS2. Also, wait until 2K releases in-depth features. BB only really gave us a general outline on what they've improved for this year. He didn't even go into any sort of detail yet. Get all the information before you start making judgments. Every heard of not judging books by their cover?
timay
Nice post NYM, just what I am saying. The most important thing is that we all finally get the video baseball game that is the total package, of graphical and gameplay superiority. Some of us have been waiting 15-20 years for this. Always saying the same thing every year after we are dissapointed, "maybe next year", and then they got us buying the game, just to be dissapointed again. Kccitystar
All of a sudden because I think 2K8 will fall short I'm an "EA fanboy"? EA hasn't produced an MLB title since MVP Baseball 2005, are you serious? What other choice do I have....MLB 2K series and what else. Oh. OH!....MLB 08: The Show. What an amazing attempt to discredit my opinion on a game that uses a 2003 engine that's always tweaked, refined, tweaked, refined, as it conflicts with your opinion. Last time I checked I was entitled to my thoughts. As far as visuals, I know 2K has their own style, but I think they trimmed down the amount of detail to hit 60FPS. D-Unit
It looks like crap. Literally. The player models are pathetic. No, I'm not an "EA Fanboy", it's just that the next-gen consoles are supposed to give us realistic graphics that look almost real, and it looks like sh*t to me when you compare it to how these guys really look. NYM
KC, that comment wasn't directed towards you, just the first part about the FPS. It was just a general comment for people who are "EA fanboys". I wasn't pointing fingers at anybody.
Kccitystar
Visual comparison of development screenshots MLB 2K8 VS. MLB 08: The Show Differences are in the shadowing and the blurring in the background. 2K goes overboard while SCEA San Diego gives subtle blurs. 2K LA's art team should tweak things somewhat. timay
So like I said before, you haven't seen video, or played a demo. So opinion should be reserved until either of the 2, or both are ready to be viewed and played. Don't just discredit a game because of screenshots, if I were to have an opinion of a game just on that, I would rate MVP as probably a pretty bad game, but as you all know, MVP is a great game. timay
I didn't say it was the second comming of christ. I said I HOPE this is finally the game we have all been waiting for. timay
How am I saying this game is the "second comming of christ", both those posts were optimism, HOPING this was the game everyone has been waiting for for years. I wasn't trying to say this game IS the best game ever, I was hoping this game didn't dissapoint again, even I don't know how the game is. I will reserve judgement until I play the demo, see some in-game footage, and final judgement will be made when I play the final product, if I like the demo. BrooklynNets24
seeing how most likly all of you dont follow the NBA 2K games and if you do(Then you should know what im talking about) The first pics that came out for NBA 2K8 looked like total sh*t and should have never even been released, but the seconds amount of pics that came out they changed a lot and if you have played the game you would know that the Players in the game look nothing like the first batch of pictures, and idk why the pics came out so big. brutushayesosu
The pitching sounds fun and Im glad to hear that the demo will have a tutorial mode for it. Im just wondering how a changup and knuckleball will be thrown using the stick. Also, I read something about a little thing called 2K Share. I guess, College Hoops 2K8 used it. From what I read, people post rosters, game saves, sliders, etc. for the 2K gamers to dl and use. Its completly seperate from the Marketplace. Maybe someone who has played College Hoops can further elaborate on this. It sounds awesome for those looking to complile a complete and accurate roster and realistic sliders. Im praying this game is great and I guess when the demo is released here in a couple more weeks we'll all find out.

NYM
The only thing I think is cooler about the show is that they have Citi Field beyond center field at Shea almost perfectly recreated and 2k doesn't have anything. O well, I can live with that.
