i know i've asked a few individuals, but we've decided to open this portion up to everyone for consideration.

we're working on an all timers project. this one's different though. we want your input.

what we need:

names. players you want to see. these aren't necessarily the greatest players of all time that need to be here. we don't care about the justification, we just want names. so please mention the fan favorites too, not just the guys with the numbers. we would like to combine the greats of the past with the greats of today. guys who are good, should be starters at one level or another. so we need all 9 starters, all five starting pitchers, a closer, back up catcher, and then fill the rest in on the bench or bullpen.

so for instance the red sox have a lot of greats in their outfield. you can't fit them all nor do you want to place some on the bench. so personally, i would start manny, yaz, and teddy ball game at the mlb level. then in the lower levels, i would start guys like fred lynn, jim rice, mike greenwell,...

but get creative.

some organizations are not gonna have a very thorough history, so feel free to add in negro leagues, japan leagues, or other leagues.

as you can see below also, there's a "special consideration/overflow" pool. simply put other names here if you want to see them in the game somewhere. more than likely, we'll pull guys from this pool to fill in spots we didn't agree with, or they will go on another team or free agent pool.

you can see the pic below to see what we're getting at.

here are no repeated players. so again, we make that final decision. if we decide that mcgwire is in st. louis and not oakland, that's what we'll do.

this should be a fun mod and i would really like your feedback. i'll continue doing the audios, portraits, cyberfaces and such we need to make this a total conversion mod.

if you want to help, grab the spreadsheet below and fill it out. send it back to me to take into consideration. no hurry, since i can always go back. you will see there are other teams on that spreadsheet filled out, or partially filled out. no worries about it please, they're just notes for the time being. for now, let's concentrate on the reds. i'll start a separate thread or restart this one for other teams.

what we don't need:

starting an argument over this with other members. just make your suggestions for whatever reason you have for them and they'll be taken into consideration.

thank you to everyone for their input so far. check out the updated spreadsheet. the reds have been updated, but are still a WIP. the yankees and mariners are both ready for input now. just check out the new spreadsheet in the first post.

OK, the Reds look pretty good. I do think Mario Soto needs to move up from AA ball. that's it
