I'm looking to acquire another guy because my DH (Jonny Gomes) isn't hitting well. I have a few guys I have in mind. Who do you think I should get out of the guys I am about to list: Josh Hamilton, Chipper Jones, Justin Upton, Jim Thome, Barry Bonds, Ken Griffey Jr, or Andrew Jones.

Hey Kaz, you dont have to post league leaders every game. Every 10 games is even a little to much, unless you have the dynasty reader. I cant use that, because the rosters dont match or something to that effect, but still following. Navarro with no homers? What kind of crap organization are you running here? at least he is hitting .286 for ya, or else hes due for a stamp and a weigh in, and off to AAA-ville. :lmao:

It might cost ya on postage, cuz hes sort of a big fella :D

I say go get Hamilton, hes a monster!!!

Posting league leaders and everything every 10 games might be a lot, but I'll see about that. And it is crap that Navarro hasn't hit any homers for me yet, but he's not really a homerun hitter. He's kind of slumping right now or he just cooled off because in the first couple games of the season, he was red hot. And I really have no plans for him in AAA, just yet. If his average dips under .250, I might have to give him a game or two off. He needs it. As for Josh Hamilton, that was the guy I was thinking to get because it would bring him back to where he was drafted and finish business off with the Rays. Thanks for checking in, though. :)

Goodness Kazmir you want any of those players for gomes? ha good luck

Eh. Not just Gomes. I was expecting to give up like Niemann, Hinske, and Gomes for one of those guys and a dud player.

you looking for raw power or alot of power and a good avg. id go with chipper. what is gomes hitting anyway?

I still don't know what I'm looking for. Maybe just batting average. Anyways, Gomes is hitting a terrible .182.

Soon after Reid Brignac was called up from AAA and 2B Willy Aybar was put up on the 60-day DL, the Rays made another transaction. The Rays acquired future hall-of-famer Ken Griffey Jr. in exchange for DH/RF Jonny Gomes, SP Jeff Niemann, and Utilityman Eric Hinske. The Rays are hoping this trade benefits them as the Brewers and Indians trade has, but only time will tell. Stay tuned for the next game, as Griffey Jr. prepares for his Rays debut.

After a while of thinking, I'm deciding on trading Griffey Jr. back to the Reds. I just thought Griffey wouldn't be a good match here.

LOL Kazmir who you gonna trade back for? gomes hinske?

I traded back for the guys I initially traded (Niemann, Hinske, and Gomes). I forgot Griffey wasn't a part of my philosophy: young players. Instead I acquired Wladimir Balentien and Ryan Feierabend.
