redsox
Why the hell is it that all these so called "belief-shattering" discoveries are captured with the world's horrendous cameras?
Kccitystar
Why the hell is it that all these so called "belief-shattering" discoveries are captured with the world's horrendous cameras? I think that was from the Mars Rover
redsox
I think that was from the Mars RoverAgreed. But still, I think one should have expected a much clearer picture don't you think - especially one from NASA? Pictures like these call for so many speculations that the second they are revealed to the public, there is a group of people trying to support their theory behind it and a group of people trying their very best to debunk it. Hell, the show, Ghost Hunters have better proofs of ghosts existing than pictures of aliens, big foot, etc..., we see all the time.
brutushayesosu
I would think that if there were proof of life on Mars, the first place I would read or see anything about it would be on major news networks. Not the MVP forums.
SwinginSoriano
Bigfoot is on Mars? No wonder why we didn't find him yet. Aliens just aren't real, if they were, we'd be dead. Plus, it's impossible to travel past light-speed without mass increasing to infinity, thus, it'd take impossible amounts of time to travel from one galaxy to another. JP_Frost
I do believe that something is out there, some form of life, but I don't believe in aliens on mars. Just think about how many planets we haven't even seen or know about; there must be something.
Kccitystar
Of course, I think the same way JP. There's no possible way we're the only habitable planet in the universe
NYM
SS, as much as your statement is true, some is false. First of all, there are more stars in the universe then there are grains of sand on every beach on Earth. Just think of that for a second. Go to a small beach and imagine how many GRAINS of sand there are, then go look on a map and look at all the beaches and try and count up the grains of sand. Second, rapid space travel is only impossible for humans because we are incapable of mastering space and time. Who says you can't create a wormhole by bending space? After all, a wormhole is shorter than a straight line. Nobody said you have to go the speed of light to accomplish distant space travel. Do you even know how big the universe is? It expands every second. When you see these things on headlines like "new star discovered 100,000 light-years away", we are really looking into the past. That photo captured of the star exploding 100,000 light-years away had exploded 100,000 years ago because light-years are technically defined as the the distance light travels in one year (speed: 3x10^8 m/s). The universe is so big that it took that long for that star to reach us. There are some events that will never be captured by human photo because the universe is so vast that it will take millions of years for the light of the star on say the far side of the universe to reach us. To say there isn't any form of life out there besides us is false. Life doesn't mean they drive cars, or play MVP 2005, or wage wars. Life can mean small vegetation life or even micro-ogranisms, because after all, isn't that how life on earth started? Life may never be discovered on a distant planet by humans, but some sort of life form is out there, whether it be better equipped technologically or not. The universe is too big, too vast, to extraordinary and mysterious for us too completely know everything about it at our stage in life. Until we know everything, anything is up for speculation. One guarantee though is that there is a 99.999999999% chance that there is no life in the Milky Way galaxy. The only reason we look at Mars and say "life!" is because we can relate to it. It's polar ice caps, mountains, and similar orbital time around the sun make it seem like a dead Earth. Life is out there, it's just not going to be found in this galaxy unless we have severely overlooked something. I know this may sound geeky, but watch the series called "the Universe" on the History channel. It will provide you on so much information that will make you really think. MarkB
Holy crap, NYM wrote that? We may have found your calling, NYM!
NYM
I admit it, I'm a geek when it comes to stuff like that. The only thing that I learned in school in that whole post was the speed of light. Everything else I learned on the history and discovery channel. That's why I said people should watch that because there two great networks with tons and tons of information.
