Someone please help me solve this problem

The great thing about this site is that there are so many amazing minds in one area to dissect issues. This brings me to my problem.

When playing MVP 1p I have no problems whatsoever. However, when playing IP 2 IP there is some lag, while not substantial, it is irritating. I know IP 2 IP can have lag but I also know there are plenty of ways to avoid it.

I am a big "search forum" junkie and I have read these forums up and down and just about everything else on google pertaining to this problem. The thing is so much of it contradicts each other. One post on here will say turn AA and AF down to decrease stuttering and the next will say to turn it up b/c that's what mvp needs. One post will say to turn VSync on to speed up the game and another will say turning VSync off will speed up the game because of something w/ the refresh rates. I've heard turn my hertz to 60, I've heard make it 75. I'm using a Vizio 32' LCD to play my games through a RGB connection.

One post will say check the "triple buffering" box on my video card, and another will say not to. I close all processes in task manager before a game and that defn helps reduce the lag a bit. I also put stadium detail on medium and turn all helmet reflections and shadows and things of the such. I also play on the lowest possible resolution which is like 640 x something. I do that because I'm willing to sacrafice graphics for a smooth IP 2 IP game.

Yesterday I uninstalled my video card driver, and then installed the latest one. I have a ATI Radeon 9250 PCI 256MB card. The latest update was Catalyst 6.11 and that is what I installed. I play through my router but I've opened the right ports and my internet speed on speedtest on net is generally around 10,000. People have told me thats great for a wireless connection.

I don't have the greatest computer or video card, but it shouldnt cause me lag. Here's my specs:

Internal DAC (400MHrtz)

256MB

I updated my power supply like a year ago to 300 watts and I updated my RAM to 768MB which is 512 more than it originally came with. I know with my upgrades the computer must be capable of producing a lag free game with the right settings. Keep in mind graphics dont mean much to me. I've heard things like #D analyze might work but I don't know if it would in my situation.

Can someone PLEASE clear everything up for me and tell me what settings I should have on my game, my computer, my video card, etc. I want to reduce the lag and stuttering the best I can. It really irritates me when pitching because I'm forced to stop the meter early.

I thank everyone and anyone who has read this and it going to try and help me. Please ask for more info if necessary and please give me all options and recommendations. I thank you all!

(p.s.) I also installed KC's 1x uni's instead of 2x and people have said some testpatch or kraw's compression program might reduce my lag. please let me know if these programs may help me.

I would recommend 1 Gig of Ram or 2 stick of 512 ram will make it run little better. U using 256 ram & 512 ram. Usually an equal amount of ram run more smoothly. There is not much U can do with PCI video card but the best PCI that can handle VISTA and intense application is ati x1550 U can get one online
