jogar84
Just absolutely no way the Republicans will win this time. McCain is basically Clinton's best friend, and if you are on the conservative spectrum of politics, you would NEVER vote for McCain. It's President Hillary in November, just deal with it. UncleMo
Doesn't matter who conservatives put up there. I figure 8 years of any party, America will want someone else. 8 years of that party, then America will want something else besides that too. 8 Years of clinton, conservatives put Bush, a non skilled politician, and he won. 8 years of republican overspending, the dems could put their worst candidate up there as the nomination and he or she could win. Just my opinion. Which reminds me. Vote Quimby. (shut up fred13).

Remember, that was with the GOP nominating William Howard Taft, Teddy Roosevelt (Bull Moose) and Woodrow Wilson (Democrat) in which the Republicans ended up in 3rd place. I am predicting Mike Bloomberg will run as an Independent in March and come in 2nd place to Hillary, with the Republican candidate in third place. Hory
McCain will beat Hillary, but would lose to Obama. Romney vs. Obama would be like the Rockies vs the Red Sox I'm a very very distant relation of John McCain btw.
Sean O
Well, here's the situation for McCain: he's broke. So, he has two options, he can either take a ton of money from lobbyists and completely change everything he's stood for, or he can apply for federal matching grants (which he has already done, but has not received). If it's the latter, he will be limited to between 13-15m until the republican nomination in September. So, go McCain! Ever since you sold out to Bush in 2000, and delivered the worst graduation speech I've ever heard anyone give in 2005, I've known you're a fraud, but let's hope America doesn't figure that out for a few more weeks. Hory
McCain would grab a whole lot of independent and conservative democrat votes in the election, and if Hillary wins through some backdoor challenge to the seating of the FL and MI delegations, that will tear the Dems apart and **** away all the new and youthful support they are building right now. If you're a democrat you want Mitt to win the GOP nomination since he has absolutely no appeal among independents and the working class. Someone said, "Huckabee's the guy you used to work with, Romney's the guy that laid you off" He's the Republican John Kerry, except Kerry still actually has some core principles. Feel the Mittmentum! I think there is no way Mccain can win the general election. I hope he is the republican canidate. but the problem with the democrat candidates is we are give two bowls of **** to choose from, after we pick one we are still stuck eating a bowl of **** But Mccain is too old, too war happy, and too crazy

Anti-war from the start, huge donor base, highly intelligent, great speaker, democratic stands on all of the major issues... certainly better than the universally despised HRC. My problem with Obama, lack of experience and 132 non-votes in senate. He did not want to take a stand because he was afraid it would hurt his presidential run. I want someone that will stand up for what they believe not just tell the people what he thinks they want to hear. I was hoping Edwards would stay past super Tuesday so we would have a better chance of having no candidate selected. Then choose a better candidate come the convention Don't get me wrong I will vote for him instead of Hillary come March 4th. and I will vote for who ever is the democratic candidate is in Nov
BigPaPa
I just like obama because hes easy. Hes not great hes not bad but hes capable of undoing the damage done by mister bush in my opinion. Hes not perfect but hes at leas hes steady and id rather have a president who is willing to stand behind the constitution and established laws try to keep out of foreign bullshit. Hes not progressive (outside of the fact that hes black and not named al sharpton) but i think hell be good at maintaining peace and harmony and with a little piece and harmony the economy can recover on its own and we can concentrate on things that actually matter. Hory
The whole experience thing is crap anyway, the most "experienced" Presidents in recent history were Richard Nixon & George HW Bush. And Lincoln only served one term as a congressman before being elected president. Obama has more experience as an elected politician than Hillary anyway, unless you count being the wife (but not the lover) of a Governor & President as "political experience". But in the end if either Hillary or Obama go up against John McCain their "experience" is hardly going to be a strong point against him.

abc006
Why in the world does experience have to matter? Doesn't one's political views matter than their unfortunate luck of being ten or twenty years younger than whoever their opposition is? If, for example, there was a random guy off the street who A) stood for everything you stand for and would make all the same decisions as you agree with, also knew how politics and how the legal system, lawmaking, etc. works, enough to be president without not knowing what the hell he's supposed to do, and C) Was the candidate for a major political party, any of them, big enough to possibly get enough votes to win, BUT literally has no formal experience in politics, why wouldn't you vote for him? Do you honestly believe he would make worse choices as president than someone who has more experience but not as favorable political views? KillerBs, just run yourself as an independent. :)
krawhitham
He does not stand for what he believes, he stands for what he thanks will get him elected If he stood for what he believed in he would not do NO-Votes/present all the time
