Can someone tell me how to move the '01 DBacks to the Majors for MLB Dynasty play. Thanks for the help. You could do it but it would be a lot of work: 1. You'd have to export the team with MVPEdit and then reimport it to another location. 2. You'd need to move the uniforms (in models.big) and uniform previews (in uniforms.big) around with EAGraph 3. You'd need to move the logos around (in logos.big). I'm not sure how to do this. 4. You'd need to modify audio files so that the team name is pronounced properly. stecropper
Kraw, Is there a way for you (or anyone capable) to create a Utility that would move/swap two teams from each of their locations - With the user only having to input the two Team Names or select them from a provided list ? That would seem to be a very Welcomed tool by many ! Don

That would seem to be a very Welcomed tool by many ! Don The issue would be that for some of the files (e.g. logos, audios, uniforms), there is no index that tells where a particular team's logos (or audios or uniforms reside). For example, there is no index file to look at for you that the 1989 Cubs use uniforms u019a and u019b in TC8.
stecropper
Jim825, I would think that one of the initial steps in such a utility would be to create a list of all available teams from the existing game each time the utility is executed. That list would have to be extracted from the game files itself of which several files could be used to create such a list. That list would also provide the associated indexes to other files for that particular team such as the example you gave for the 89 Cubs would use u019 for it's uniforms and probably likewise 018 for it's team name audio file etc etc . If not given automatically by the file used to get the 1st index then a standard table could be developed from that starting point index to provide all the other indexes that specific team would use. Once that list is created then it would just be a matter of having the utility execute a series of steps to accomplish the movement/swapping of those two teams files acros the various files required. Basically the same way you and or I would go about doing it manually would be the steps the utility would need to execute. Finding the correct starting point with an associated index for the selected teams would definitely be one of the initial steps but I feel comfortable it can be done.
