Yankee4Life
Ok, it's Super Bowl time. Tomorrow's the big day and whatever team you are pulling for, I hope you have a good time watching the game. Feel free to stop by this thread and post your comments or watch the game while being online here to cheer on the Giants or Patriots.

SwinginSoriano
I'm rooting for my usually disappointing Giants, but, they'll pretty much get their *** beat by the Patriots.
Yankee4Life
Someone figure out a way for both teams to lose and I'll be happy You feel the same way I see. You know, I doubt if I am going to watch the entire game. If New England starts pulling away I'll see what's on Showtime. For me, there's no Super Bowl without the Raiders being in it. Please save all jokes for another day.
brutushayesosu
I'm going to root for the Patriots since all my teams usually find a way to lose or don't show up for the big game (Browns, Cubs, and of course the Buckeyes)
meteamo
Someone figure out a way for both teams to lose and I'll be happy Is there any way for the game to end up tied? Such as an earthquake or another Janet Jackson type of disaster? For me, there's no Super Bowl without the Raiders being in it. Please save all jokes for another day. You mean till Sunday? I'm hoping the Giants win of course but my safe bet is on whatever Kraw wants. Seriously, Giants will win 24 - 17.

Yankee4Life
You mean till Sunday? Yeah, sure, why not? What a terrible team they have become. I am very happy I am old enough to remember how good they actually were. But I'd love to see them win again sometime soon. Pats...they already have a book ready to be printed called "19-0". I wouldn't doubt that at all. I'm sure Sports Illustrated already has some in a warehouse somewhere and on Monday they'll have a new commercial out hawking it. evil1182
I'm a die hard Jets fans and never root for the Giants, but, this time I have to make an exception. I'm sick of the state of Massachusetts winning everything. Go big blue!!
evil1182
One thing I hate about the Super Bowl is, why the hell does it have to be played in warm temperatures ? Football is meant to be played in the cold. I wanna see a SB at the frozen tundra.

evil1182
Y4L, how did you become a Raiders fan? Did you live out their at one point? I ask because usually you grow up watching your hometown team and that becomes your favorite team.

Yankee4Life
Y4L, how did you become a Raiders fan? Did you live out their at one point? I ask because usually you grow up watching your hometown team and that becomes your favorite team. No, the only time I lived out in California was for six months in San Diego when I was in basic training and school, but I was a Raider fan long before I got to that part of my life. I've been a Raider fan since I was a kid. The closest NFL team to me is the Bills and back then the Bills were terrible. They'd win a few games a year, they'd never be on TV and none of the kids in my neighborhood cared anything about them. Back then it was Pittsburgh, Oakland, Miami, Dallas, Washington, Minnesota and the Los Angeles Rams that were the top teams. I became a Raider fan because I'm a lefthander and Kenny Stabler was the top (if only) left handed quarterback back then. So I started following the Raiders and cheering for them and that's how it has always been. Now, if I was a righty, I would have no idea who my favorite NFL team would be. :)

Hory
OMG the Prats helmet is smaller! ANTI-BOSTON BIAS!!!!!! I always thought naming a set of laws dedicated to legalizing spying and dirty underhand tactics - the Patriot Act -was pretty damn cynical, but turns out congress was just way ahead of his time. Pirate
First off the game is in warm weather climates because the weather should be as ideal as possible for the fans. This game has little to do with the teams playing but the week leading up to the game. It has an estimate $450 to $500 million economic impact. If I am paying $5,000 to $10,000 for a ticket I want to be in the warm weather. If I am hanging out at the scene of a Super Bowl for a week I want to hang outside and feel like I am on vacation. I am in the middle of the Super Bowl mayhem right now. One of the reasons I have gone underground in recent weeks is because I am covering the game for my paper and have been working non-stop since the middle of January. Yes, I will be there, inside, tomorrow. Check out www.yourwestvalley.com during the pregame and game to see my live blog tomorrow.
