BigPaPa
How could I go about doing this? Thanks. in your database folder their is a CSV file called resign. I think that contains the % chance a player retires based on Star Power and age. If you take that % chance down to zero for all values they shouldn't retire until the max age, which is something like 45.
redsox
There is a way to have a player playing as long as you want to, but its a round about way and involves at least couple of programs. - When you have completed a season, alt+tab out of the game and run TyWiggins .DAT importer/exporter to export the .DAT files. - Just go through the free-agency/off-season and get to your spring training screen. Take note of any player that has retired but you would like for him to continue with his career. - Exit out of the game and import the .DAT files that you had exported earlier into MVPEdit. - Use the export player option in MVPEdit and export the player that had retired. - Run the game again and run the importer/exporter program to export the latest set of .DAT files. - Import the .DAT files into MVPEdit. - Goto the team that you want to import the player to and use the import player option to import him to that team. - The final step would be to update the age, make any roster changes if that particular team has more than 25 players at any level and use the importer tool to import the updated .DAT files back into the game. This should probably take you anywhere from 5-15 minutes depending on your level of experience with the said programs. This way you can have the players play beyond the max limit of 45.
