andrewdon
In the book Moneyball they express the importance of OBP and SLG Percentage. OBP is 3 times more important than SLG. I read this last year and played a dynasty on MVP and found a bunch of Nobodys or some of them and built a team that is in the NLCS. I found a guy that is a AA player and brought him up because of a high OBP and he is batting 476, 343 SLG, and a 643 OBP IN THE PLAYOFFS!!!! I made a few trades like trading Lastings Milledge to Boston for Gil Velazquez the guy I was talking about before and George Kottaras. You guys that like dynasties should have a try at that. Yankee4Life
Did you use the search function before making this thread? The answer to that KC would be no. Because if he did, he'd find this thread here that talks about moneyball. And that's just only one of them. Again people I am going to sound like a broken record here so please forgive me, but use the search function. It's quick, it's painless and it's free. redsox
I hate to break this to you, but the Moneyball-esque management really has no effect in dynasty play. It all comes down to your gameplay and the combination of datafile/sliders that you use.
