Yuck. I'm hitting .000 on the season, and Chris Kelvarr is hitting .056.

The catchers are on FIRE! Yuck.

We're more noted for our defense anyway. According to Brandon Inge, we can't concentrate on hitting, because too much of our focus is on the defense, our pitchers, scouting reports and others...we don't have time to think about our hitting.

At least my one hit has been a HR.

Yes, you both may be noted for your defense, but neither of you has managed to throw out a runner all year. Nearly the whole team's hitting has been atrocious, so I wouldn't worry about that too much!

Well, some bad news, the 3 boxscores for the next update were corrupted. I played these games on the weekend, and can't remember much about them. I will give the score, winning and losing pitchers and home run statistics, that's all I can remember.

Rays Injury Report

Tampa Bay's Johnluke Chaparro suffered a knee injury and had to leave the game after diving to stop a groundball in the fifth inning of the series opener against Seattle. He will undergo an MRI to determine the extent of the damage tomorrow. Until Chaparro can return to the lineup, Rick Joy will step in at shortstop.

SEA (4-4) @ TB (2-6)

Mammoth comeback gives Rays win.

Tampa Bay 9-Seattle 8

HR: Seattle-Sexson, Johjima, Lopez, Reed

Tampa-Joy (1), Stedfunk (2), Sandoval (3), HFLR (2)

We trailed 8-1 into the fifth, scored 7 in that inning to tie it up, and then won it on Chris Kelvarr's sac fly in the 7th.

Hey hey! I can step in there and share some time at SS while Chaparro is sidelined, coach! lol.

Seriously tho - who ARE our backups for the middle infield, just Rick Joy?

We have Rick Joy and Ronnie Reyes who can backup in the middle infield. I will no doubt slot you in there sometime along the line.

SEA (4-5) @ TB (3-6)

Tampa suffer unfortunate loss in finale.

FINAL SCORE: SEATTLE 1-TAMPA BAY 0

Dan Prestel pitched really well, allowing just 1 run on 3 hits until he was ejected after hitting Jose Lopez with a tailing 2-seamer in the 5th. Eric Bedard shut down a dismal Rays offense for the series win.

BAL (6-4) @ TB (3-7)

Yeah, well with any luck, when you come back we'll be in 1st place and you can extend our lead.

Meh, I suck. At least two of those runs weren't my fault.

It certaintly was better than your other 2 games. I just can't believe how badly you've struggled, you were one of the best in the original.
