123456dan
Hey guys I don't know if any of you have had this glitch before but there is something wrong with my base running. Just recently when i get a hit and have someone on 2nd for example, they will stop right away and retreat to the base. Say there are 2 outs and i do a hit n run with the guy on 2nd. Once i make contact with the ball he retreats back to the base so i have to send him again. This wastes valuable time and i often get thrown out because of it. I could see this happening with <2 outs but it has happened numerous times with 2 outs and dont know what is wrong. Do you think it is a sliders issue (base running aggressiveness)? A controls issue? or what. Thanks for the help! :D
scutaro
I've seen that before, but not very often... I've also noticed baserunners holding halfway on balls that are clearly not going to be caught, sometimes with 2 outs, so I suspect there is a level of 'stupid' programmed into the baserunning algorithims...but again, I don't see a whole lot of it. fookes
Why are you calling a hit and run with 2 outs and a guy on second....rule # 1, never make the 3rd out at 3rd. rule # 2, majority of the time a base hit scores a man from second unless they have a serious wheel problem. 123456dan
Like I said, it was just an example to show that the runner was already in motion (stealing) when he stopped and that with 2 outs you don't hold up to make sure it isn't caught. And when there is a full count with 2 outs then why the hell wouldn't i run?

123456dan
Well obviously, but I just found it kind of odd that it starts happening now after my 2-3 years of playing.

123456dan
Alright, I see this problem isn't just going to go away. Do you guys think that a fresh install would fix it? And I haven't done that for a while, so just to clarify. If i backed up the folder in My Docs then it would save my Dynasty, Sliders, Rosters and what not after the install? BigRog
Is your control Configuration correct. I mean, you could be hitting a button that you think does something else and its making the runners do this.
