mikeybags
Posted this in the thread about the MLB overlay, but not 100% sure if that's the right place so I figured I'd post here too. To avoid confusion, here's a link to the download I'm talking about- http://www.mvpmods.com/Downloads/details/id=4369.html I really like both versions of the MLB overlay (bar at the top or not), but I can't seem to play a game at Wrigley field (night or day) without it booting me back to desktop. It loads, goes through the whole intro (showing the field, then the pitcher stats, etc), but then boots me right when it's going to show the graphic showing all of the fielders. Is there a way of fixing this? Edit- Seems to have the same problem with the 2007 SNY ones (just a random pick from the overlay section), as well as trues' ESPN overlay. Once it shows the pitcher warming up it boots back to desktop. Alot of the overlays give me the same problem. KSM's MLB on fox lite seems to work fine, as does the 07 overlay by trues (the one included in the MVP 07 mod). My system is definitely powerful enough to handle any mods, maxed out settings, etc, so what would cause this? I'd love to be able to use the MLB overlay if it's possible. PS- I tried different versions of Wrigley with the same result. I am almost positive I have this narrowed down to being the overlay. Just in case, my system specs- AMD Athlon Dual Core 5000+ (running at 3.2 Ghz) 2 GB Memory Nvidia GeForce 8600 GTS Not sure if there's anything else relevant to include. InSainn
Did you try it with the default version of Wrigley that came with 05? Cause I have had the same problem and all along I thought it was an issue with Wrigley but now that you bring this up my problems with it started about the same time I started using that overlay and my problem is exactly how you describe yours. It worked for me though if I used the version of Wrigley that came with MVP 05... I'm not in love with the overlay though so I'm gonna try switching it up so I can an updated Wrigley... if you don't mind a poor looking Wrigley Field, this may also solve your problem if noone finds an actual fix... mikeybags
No I didn't. I installed the 07 mod right away, and I believe that is an updated version of Wrigley. It doesn't work with that. I then installed CC720's version of Wrigley to the same results. Doesn't matter if it's night or day, same crash at the same time. I didn't back up the 05 stuff because I figured if I had issues I could just DL something new. Maybe I'll pull it off of the CD's (if that can be done) and try it out. I'm really hoping I can figure something out though....I have looked through most of the overlays and think this absolutely blows away all of them. Don't like the ones with too much clutter (the player pics on the bottom), but want to have the info bar with pitch count included. Something somewhat basic but including those things is ideal. I just think this particular overlay is very nice, very clean, and has everything I'm looking for.
fred13
its the stadium not the overlay that is crashing your game. I have the same porblem with Wrig. CC920 is currently working on it I think.
mikeybags
I guess going back to the default version of Wrigley for now will have to do. Too bad, because I was going to show off the skills this community has by having one friend over to play him in MVP. He's the one who originally got me into the game but doesn't have it any more. I told him about all of the mods and I don't think he realizes what I mean. Hopefully he's still around when the fix comes, since he goes to a different college like 600 miles away and is on break right now. He's a cubs fan so I was going to do our game in Wrigley. Oh well. Thanks for the info.
