ataris812
I was wanting to replace one of the AAA stadiums with Pirate's Busch Stadium II. I read the instructions for replacing stadiums from one of Pirate's stadium mods (Riverfront Stadium was the one I chose). I took bushnite.big and renamed it aaa3nite.big, and replaced it in the stadium folder. I then extracted the bushnite.txt file from the original datafile from the CD (since the bushnite.txt on my computer is for Busch III). I renamed it aaa3nite.txt, and imported it into the datafile on my computer, and made sure it was compressed. But whenever I select that stadium, it will freeze about 1/3 of the way through loading a game. Is there some sort of compatability issue with trying to replace a stadium that is only night with one that is night/day, or is there something I'm missing here? I'd really like to use Busch II for fun sometimes without replacing a current stadium. I have no problem replacing any minor league or historic stadiums (except Sportsman's Park). I'm not sure about the crash, but I will tell you that you didn't have to import the renamed bushnite.txt file (aaa3nite.txt) back into the datafile.big file. You could have simply copied it to your MVP Baseball 2005 data folder. When the game boots up, it looks in the data folder first and if it finds files like this, it will use them rather than the files embedded in datafile.big. You can use the same principle if you want to test out different datafiles (datafile.txt). Simply copy the file to your data folder. If you don't like it, delete the file and it will use the default version in datafile.big.
