To whomever can create a stadium...

To anyone who knows how to create a stadium, this request is for you:

Is there a possibility than you can create an old stadium?

The stadium still exists, but is no longer a baseball stadium.

Candlestick Park in San Francisco.

I know, it's a dump. And the Giants are now at AT&T Park.

But since I grew up going to games at the 'Stick, I would be in awe if someone can create this stadium!

All the other stadiums are excellent, don't get me wrong.

But I would die in happiness to have the 'Stick as a stadium.

Thanks in advance!

I recommend you download Total Classics 8. It has the best and most famous teams baseball has ever had. You will need a entire new install of the game in a complete and separate directory. Then you can play your game that you have now and TC8. TC8 has many stadiums that are not in the game that you have. Candlestick is one of them. Another one I can think of is Municipal Stadium in Kansas City and Memorial Stadium in Baltimore.

If you want this mod, it's in the download section. As I said, an entirely new install of the game is required. Then you install the TC8 mod OVER the freshly made install you just made. When you are all done, you will have two different playable versions of Mvp baseball.

OK. I have it downloading (50% done).

Now, I have 2006 running. So I install TC8 into the 2006 directory?

I could just run TC8 and it's much better than 2006?

Will it have all the current (as of 2006) players, stats, teams and stadiums?

If that is the case, then I'm just going to do only that.

I'm 20 games into my current season (19-1).

NO, no, no and no.

DO NOT install this mod into your 2006 directory or else you will lose your 2006 season.

This is what you do:

1. When TC8 is done downloading, put it on the desktop.

2. INSTALL a NEW VERSION of Mvp baseball in ANOTHER directory that you do not have your current game in. Example:

Say your game is in C:Program FilesEA SportsMvpBaseball

Install your SECOND FULL INSTALLATION in a new created directory like this: C:Program FilesEA SportsTotal Classics 8

This way you have TWO versions of the game on your hard drive, your 2006 mod and this one.

3. Once you have the second installation installed, unpack the TC 8 mod. INSTALL THE TC 8 MOD in C:Program FilesEA SportsTotal Classics 8. You see what you are doing here? You are installing a new mod over a fresh install of the game.

4. When this is all said and done, you should have two complete and separate directories on your C drive:

C:Program FilesEA SportsMvpBaseball

AND

C:Program FilesEA SportsTotal Classics 8

And all you got to do is pick what directory you want to play a game in. Put your CD in the holder and then pick out what version you want to play by clicking on the EXE in either Mvp 2006 or TC8.

TC8 is completely different from what you have now. TC 8 is a completely revamped version of MVP baseball. There are no minor leagues. You will see teams like the '27 Yankees, the '29 Athletics, the 1954 Giants, the 1975 Reds, etc, etc. IT WILL NOT HAVE ANYTHING FROM THE 2006 SEASON.

Could I put it in over my 2007 folder?

Here is what I have, exactly:

2 folders, 2 games:

C:Program FilesEA SportsMVP Baseball 2005 (the 2006 mod is installed there)

C:Program FilesEA SportsMVP Baseball 2007 (MVP 2007 directly installed there, and works)

So basically, what I would be doing is installing TC8 over the freshly installed 2007 (That way I woulnd't have to re-install 2006 again)

No. This needs a freshly installed version of the game. In your case you will have three versions of the game. That's ok, I got about five on mine.

Ok, good luck. I got to go back to bed. It's past 5 am here.

2007 is a fresh install.

I only ran the program 2 times to test out what it's got. I think I played in the mini games once, and maybe pitched to 1 or 2 batters in an exibition game.

By fresh install, he means one that only contains default MVP2005 files or official EA Sports MVP2005 patches.

The 2007 installation you have contains plenty of modded files specifically for the MVP2007 mod.

I included very detailed installation instructions (with pictures!) with TC8. Read through them and post any questions you may have.

OK Will do.

Now I know why TC8 after I installed it would load, but would crash no matter what I would play in it...lol

Because I installed it on top of 2006 which was installed on top of 2005

I'll go do that right now and let you know

I also have a question about stadiums. SOmeone has built a Hadlock Field, and I was hoping a good stadium builder might be able to work with it a little. All it needs is the Left Field wall allows balls through it after a certain point, the back of the stadium could use more detail. There is no US Cellular Pavillion, and the pitchers don't warm up in the real bullpens. I can get pictures for it if someone is willing.

This doesn't show much, but it is the best I can show for now.

Thanks, I have the game working now, but to be honest I am a little disappointed.

Don't get me wrong, you did a great job with the mod.

I do realize that it's a "classics" mod, so I won't moan about anything...lol

I know Candlestick Park was an open-ended stadium before my time, until they built the enclosure from the RF foul pole to the LF foul pole. That's the kind of stadium that's in the game. That was before my time, like I said.

But hey, it's the classics, man, great job...the names sure brought back memories...woohoo! =)

Thanks again! Excellent Work

You are? Well sorry to hear that. You know, there's a nice thread around here where it helps people get started in modding. Why don't you take a look at it and then make Candlestick how you want it to be?

The ballpark was built by one of our modders, SeanO. This is supposed to represent the early version of Candlestick Park in San Francisco. I thought he did a pretty good job on it considering it was Candlestick Park, one of the ugliest ballparks in history.

For someone who didn't moan about this ballpark you did a good impression of it.

Forgive me, but I like to defend our modders in here.

Oh please, don't get me wrong! =)

Candlestick Park in the game is exactly the way it looked before my time!

SeanO did a great job! No complaints!

It's actually MY fault...I should have expected to see the older version, since it is part of the classics. And you're right, it was and still is UGLY in real life, haha.

I'll take a look at the mod tutorials. Thanks!

To all the modders, keep up the great work! Before this site, I was running a measily 2005! Now I have up-to-date rosters with excellent graphics!

Total Classics is awesome!

To be honest, I've only played it a couple of times, since I am in the process of moving in a couple of weeks...But my impression is a great one!

The modders did a terrific job!
