Kayxero
Yeah i just wanted to see what the max users have in terms of specs. I am buying extra ram and a new video card and want to run MVP with some AA and AF. Right now I have Pentium 4 3.2 ghz CPU(northie Core), opted for that a few years back because prescott cores ran too hot. I have a 1.25 gigs of ram(PC 3200). My vid card is a piece of crap Gigabyte radeon 9200se 128mb. I plan on getting another gig of ram. Maybe two so ill have 3.25gigs, and some sort of agp 8x card. Probably the best agp newegg.com has since they are cheaper now that the standard in PCIe. Let me know your specs, thoughts, and recommendations. btw right niw I can run MVP with everything on high, with all video options on at 1024 by 768 and no hiccups. My vid card settings have AA and AF off because i get alot of slowdown with any of it on, and i have texture and mipmap settings in between performance and quality so i get a bit of both. Stetson
You would be best off just getting the most expensive AGP card you can find on there. Being all the AGP cards will be inexpensive. But definately would go with NVidia per the performance edge. Im running 8800gt & athlon x2 @ 3ghz. so all maxed out completely at res of 1920x1200 on 24"fp. <per the res-changer>

I've tried the resolution changer that's available on this site, but it didn't change anything really.
Kccitystar
This thread belongs in tech talk, IMO. I think the best AGP card you can get right now is most likely this one, a GeForce 7600GT http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16814130099
Stetson
yeah, that what I used to run the game at that resolution. the menus and stuff dont get that res, but once ya go in and start your game is puts it at the 1920x1200. looks awesome!

I've tried the resolution changer that's available on this site, but it didn't change anything really. ya i ran into the same problem of running it, and I couldn't get it to go at 1900x1200 either. JP_Frost
I've got it going now at 1600x1200. The game crashed when I tried 1920x1200, probably because my monitor doesn't support that resolution. The thing I was doing wrong earlier is not changing the resolution in the video settings of mvp. Works like a charm now though.
Stetson
Yeah, it wont work if you go beyond your monitors specs, if i recall it will default it to 60mhz as well along with it.
edm
You won't have a problem . MVP isn't that demanding of a game graphically. I ran it at 1280x1024 with 1gig, x800xt, athlon +3500 with max detail and 4AA x 8AF and the gameplay was very smppth
evil1182
I'm running this game at 1280x1024 with AA 4x, AF 2x, with a crappy P4 1.8ghz, 1 gig of ram, and Radeon 9600xt. Runs smooth.
