DJAelbi
After doing some roster altering in MVP edit I imported the DAt files into a franchise using Importer/Exporter. Also, I tried overwriting my 1994 rosters with this DAT and is crashed. I'd prefer to have these rosters be my default rosters. Why is the game crashing and what can I do to fix it. That is the question I need an answer to. Anyone feeling helpful. I'm sure this wouldn't be a problem if I didn't muck with it so much, I just like having my roster perfect for me=y preferences. Anyway, also for some reason Calgary says there are warnings about it's NL lineups for some reason, but there is not. I feel they are related possibly, but perhaps not. I've come across this before I while ago, but could not figure out what I did then. Gratious for any assistance. Gracias
DJAelbi
OK, sorry to bump, but I wanted to add one more thing about this probalem. When I install the DAT files into the 1994 data folder so the roster I created with MVPedit will be the default, the game crashes before it even loads up. Surely someone has come across this before. Hopefully one of you can steer me in the right direction for diagnosis. Thanks guys.
Homer
how about starting with what exactly you did to the rosters. telling us you edited them says almost nothing. if the game is crashing before it even gets to the splash screen is most likely a roster problem, which at this point is probably no big secret. but you could've done a million different things with the rosters to cause it to crash. let's start with the obvious: did you edit the all star teams? if you created players, how many players did you create? Maestro23
Glad you caught this Homer. I just keyword searched a ton of MVPedit threads and your name was in a lot of them. If anyone can get this guy straightened out, its you. Good luck man.

Getting ready to come and post this. I saw this talked about in one of the threads I looked up. Good catch xiberger. :wtg:
Homer
even if he installed it in the data folder, it wouldn't crash the game, so i have to assume that was a typo or something.
Maestro23
Hey Homer, somewhere in the process doesn't he have to "Reset" the rosters in-game to use the Exported MVPedit rosters? Just throwing stuff out here. Like you posted earlier, its hard to pinpoint the problem because we don't know all he's done.
Homer
if he's currently in the game when he exports it, he would have to reset them. otherwise, just starting or restarting the game should automatically reset it.
DJAelbi
Hey everyone. I did a ton of things to the roster. It worked fine, or at least the game started fine until I messed with one player in particular. It was Cecil Espy. At first I was just trying to get his portrait and cyberface to show up in he game and it was having a hard time. I didn't doing anything weird. It did. I just don't think that's the deal. Perhaps, I need to check the all-star teams, like was said. Has anyone ever had any issue with the lineups continuing to say they are wrong even though you have fixed them? This was one of the things MVPedit was doing.
DJAelbi
I installed the DAT files in the right place so that's not it. THey went into the database folder. Sorry about not being clear enough. I honestly wouldn't worry about this so much had I not spent so much time on theis roster. It's like a late 80's 90's best of roster. I did a lot of player movement. Like I said nothing was wrong that I could tell and I played with a few teams up until I tried to update Espy's portrait and cyberface numbers. I changed his body size and the YES on the cyberface number. I think it was yes, anyway I did it right. THen all of a sudden. Issues.
