triberocks4
As far as I can tell, this was no April Fools joke. I am genuinely angry that EA is pulling the plug on us; now do we not only lack a baseball game, but also the "#1 selling sports video-game franchise in history". I can't afford a 360 or PS3, and I'm sure most of the users of this forum would say the same, so we are done in terms of madden. Rrgh, thank god for mvpmods. BigRog
Well they made very little money on madden PC compared to the console version. There really was no point in continuing it when the money was being made on consoles and not on PC versions of the game. Also, every year was just the same game as last year basically but with updated rosters. The Console version of Madden this year vs the PC version where totally different. At Football-Freaks.com they are updating rosters and textures.
triberocks4
True, but I always figured the PC market was big enough that they could at least port the PS2 version for us (which is pretty much what they've been doing for the past 3 years). Now, apparently, they won't even do that.
Kccitystar
Gaming on the PC is essentially limited to a ton of MMOs and FPSes so far.
BigRog
I think PS2 could be taking a hit too. From what I am reading they are in the process of phasing out new PS2 games.
