DJAelbi
error: Entry 1 has a invalid offset/length description in C:Program FilesEA SPORTSMVP Baseball 2005datamodels.big This is the error with bigGUI I installed a cyberface using TiT. It didn't open in MVPedit. Niether did any of the rest at this point. Frustrating. Then I opened bigGUI and got that error. Is there a program that allows for easier portrait and cyberface installation? THese steps are very tedious. If not THanks for what's available. Maestro23
Need to provide a little more info. What roster set are you using? What models.big file are you using? What cyberface where you trying to install? BigGui has been known to corrupt things. Try using TiT whenever possible. Keyword search "BigGui error" and you should come up with some discussion threads with some possible solutions.
DJAelbi
Thanks. Hey guys, I'm sure you guys have thought of everything, but I was sitting here thinking to myself. It kinda hurt. But, IS there a way to reprogram or mod the way the portraits and faces are managed? Such as, could there not be a way to have theportraits and faces attach to the players so that when you move them they go along with them? Why are we forced to use only 999 numbers for the models.big? And could all that be done away with at all? Just curious.
BigRog
not sure what the first question is but as for the models big, there is a limit because that what was programmed into the game. If you add more faces your game crashes.
OTBjoel
I don't know how technical you are but if you can get away with it, stop using BIGgui for importing things. Unless you are simply exporting .BIG file components, do not use the GUI tools (BigGUI, EAgraph). I know they are convenient and easy to use but you are just setting yourself up for frustration and heartache. The command line tools (gfxpak, eazip) are much better and if you use them right, relatively error free. Use gfxpak for graphics stuff and eazip for data stuff (ingame.big). Also, eazip works in some instances where gfxpak might crash. Since I've started using eazip to update my models.big, I've gotten much better crash-free results. The problem is, in this age where there is no more DOS and only IT professional using Linux/Unix, many people have forgotten how to use command line utilities but they are still the best. Train yourself to learn the command line switches and you will be much happier in the long run. Feel free to PM me if you have any specific questions.
