Another community bites the EA bullet

As you guys may or may not know, EA Sports has, in it's infinite wisdom, decided to cancel it's production of the PC-based version of Madden NFL.

This has had a deep impact on the Madden PC community, but we are not taking the news lying down. In the mold of MVPmods, we are going to attempt our first version of a game-wide mod to not only update it to current settings, but update the game how it SHOULD have been done.

With that being said though, we have not been as lucky in our modding as the MVP community has. This is where I feel like a hobo and ask for handouts... Anyone with any kind of file knowledge, mod creating, etc. would GREATLY be appreciated over at football-freaks.com. Even on an 'advisory level', ANY help would greatly be appreciated.

I used to be a CONSTANT presence on football-freaks.com back in the day. Ah, the days of Struttdaddy's amazing roster updates.

Since Madden started getting less interesting, and MVP started getting better, I pretty much migrated over here sometime between 2004-2005.

But football-freaks is a good community, and I hope someone is able to help you guys out with the modding of the game. However, from what I've read, the way in which it is coded makes for little possibility of major modifications.

But don't take my word for it - we'll see if any of the guys from around here can help out.

Madden always seems to be the same evry year it's kind of dumb they add some tiny little things but all it really is is an update

well, i can tell you, if anybody, could give you some advice, the guys here @mvp mods, defintly would be able to. it sucks that ea continues to not only seem to muff up console games but they gotta migrate that to pc's where it all started from the beginning, the guys @ mvp mods, has embarassed EA, and they truly should be ashamed of a so called finished product they put out year after year with alot fo there games.

i hope they can give you any advice, i suck at modding, as far as programming, but im an active member over @ff and it is a gr8 community as well, im not good at actualy programming, but ill do my best if ya need some kind of foot work done.
