CPU vs. CPU

The way to get the CPU to play the CPU is by simulating the games, OR, if you wish to WATCH the CPU play the CPU, go into the game as you would normally, but before the first pitch, go into the controller select screen and take your controller (or keyboard, or whatever) OFF of the team you are controlling, and then you can sit back and watch the two teams play eachother.

No problem! Glad to help!

EDIT: I should add, you don't HAVE to set the controller selection to CPU before the first pitch, and you don't HAVE to leave it there. You can switch back and forth as you please, so you can jump in and out of control of the game whenever you'd like.

I don't think it's that simple. Yes you can move the controller to the center but I don't think the game will advance beyond that screen until you commit to one team or the other. This is why I turned my copy back into gamestop. But please correct me if I'm wrong. I'd love for you to be right.

He's right--But you're both right.

You're right in that before you actually load up the game--with the field, players, etc.--i.e., when you're at the "game select" screen--you cannot select the CPU to play itself.

*However,* he's right in that once you get into the game itself and start "playing," you can hit ESC if you're on a computer, whatever the key is to get to your In-Game menu on consoles, go to "Select Controller" and change your team from your controller to the CPU.

I've done this a bunch of times, so I know it works. Only thing is that when the CPU plays itself you tend to wind up seeing astronomical/ridiculous scores, along the lines of 21-18. Good luck!
