catzrthecoolest
My current computer mouse has problems: when you click, it sometimes does not click, and sometimes clicks twice. When you hold down the button, it kind of "flickers" and thus makes dragging things very difficult. (it does this on other computers as well, so I know viruses aren't the problem.) So, if anyone has an idea of what kind of mouse I should get, your aid is welcome. :hail:
meteamo
I would just get any optical mouse at any electronic store. Some like wireless but they require batteries. Having a mouse with the special programmable buttons are nice but unnecessary unless if you have somthing specific in mind for them. Having a scroller between the left and right mouse buttons is good to have. Some mice are ergonomic so if you use the mouse a lot, it may good to have. The mouse I have ... the microsoft comfort optical mouse 3000 also has a button on the side that when you click it, a good size box appears on the screen enlarging everything in the box. That feature is good for people who can't see that well. I think it cost about 14 dollars in NYC's J & R. So, it's basically what you need it for and how simplistic it can be. The same mouse is pretty much the same price in most stores so you can go to one of the big named stores. And if you do get a wireless mouse, having an extra cheap mouse may turn out to be a good thing especially if you run out of batteries. Good luck. And if you are interested, you can take a screw driver and open up the mouse that's not working. Maybe you can see what is causing the problem, such as extra gunk on the pad where you click the button.
