Proper way to install MVP 07 with 08 rosters.

Recommended Posts

Yes...I read the sticky about installing 07 but it's about a year old. I originally wanted to install kgbaseball's 2008 Roster 5.1 Standard and just copied the dat files over to the database but th game kept crashing.

I then did some research and download TIT 2.0 and installed an updated models.big file(full_final) using TIT but I was still experiencing crashing.

I'm obviously do something wrong. Anything you guys can do to point me in the right direction would be much appreciated. I've now completely uninstalled 05 so I can start fresh.

Thanks

I'm not sure about this and you may be able to get more from someone else but ....

1) Before you install anything else, I would apply patch #5 to the clean install (ie: MVP05orig).

2) Next, make a copy of your patched clean install so that if you want to have more than one version of MVP, you can always just copy MVP05orig to MVPxx without having to install the whole thing. Plus, if something crashes on you, it'll be quicker to resolve.

I have MVP07 updated to 08. This is what I did.

1. installed MVP07 into the MVP07 directory after making the backup.

2. installed the Models full after backing up the 07 Models.

3. installed the rosters after backing up the 07 database folder

4. ran plus maker according to instructions

~ you should now have the rosters updated to 08 ~

I'm not sure if the portraits or uniforms have to updated as well though. But, this worked for me. Good luck and happy gaming.
