catzrthecoolest
Just yesterday, I was playing an away game, the home team was batting, and there was a runner on second. someone hits a single into center, and the guy is "safe" at home. But when i looked at the replay, I saw: as you can see, I tagged his hand before it touched the plate. Am i wrong? or does this happen even if you have "blown umpire calls" turned off... djfierce
It happens. I get picked of on crappy calls for the most part. Btw, I've never picked off a runner. Is that even possible?

I have, like 3 times ever hahaha and only with leftie pitchers.
MarkB
That's not bad umpire logic, it's bad collision detection programming.
Maestro23
I have, like 3 times ever hahaha and only with leftie pitchers. I've picked off my share of runners at 1st. Never default settings though. I use a datafile and sliders.
xxxxjerryxxxx
It looks to me hes sliding in from the opposite direction maybe he was safe from what ever turned him around completely backwards?
Homer
but it also adds realism. blown calls happen. i think there's a setting you can use to get rid of blown calls.
ehhh
I turned blown calls off less than a month after I bought the game. It seemed like every blown call occurred on an obvious play instead of a close one. I'd throw a runner out at first by two steps and the ump would call him safe, etc. No thanks, I'll just stick with perfect umpiring.
DeuceBlades
all the time, thats the beauty of blown calls...

How do you get power on Pick offs? all i can get is a weak little throw that doesnt even make them slide and stops them getting a 2 step lead :(
highlight_reel
Is it even possible to do the true Andy Pettite-ish lefty pickoff move? The CPU does it all the time.

My old gamepad could not pick off, and then I bought one of those generic Logitech Dual Actions and now I can pick off just fine.
